New Cairo Academy is one of the Egyptian private institutes that includes specialities of Engineering, Computer Science, Information technology, Commerce and applied arts. It is located in the 5th Settlement, a district of New Cairo, Egypt.
The Academy has applied the Regulations of the Supreme Council of Universities to grant students a bachelor's degree in any of the institute's speciality equivalence institutes to grant a bachelor's degree equivalent to Egyptian public state universities.
There are four educational institutes in New Cairo Academy:
New Cairo Academy is officially recognised as a higher education institution. As such, it has the right to award undergraduate degrees.
Cairo University, known as the Egyptian University from 1908 to 1940, and King Fuad I University from 1940 to 1952, is Egypt's premier public university. Its main campus is in Giza, immediately across the Nile from Cairo. It was founded on 21 December 1908; however, after being housed in various parts of Cairo, its faculties, beginning with the Faculty of Arts, were established on its current main campus in Giza in October 1929. It is the second oldest institution of higher education in Egypt after Al Azhar University, notwithstanding the pre-existing higher professional schools that later became constituent colleges of the university. It was founded and funded as the Egyptian University by a committee of private citizens with royal patronage in 1908 and became a state institution under King Fuad I in 1925. In 1940, four years following his death, the University was renamed King Fuad I University in his honor. It was renamed a second time after the Egyptian revolution of 1952. The University currently enrolls approximately 155,000 students in 20 faculties and 3 institutions. It counts three Nobel Laureates among its graduates and is one of the 50 largest institutions of higher education in the world by enrollment.

Umm Al-Qura University is a large public Islamic university in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The university was established as the College of Sharia in 1949 before being joined by new colleges and renamed as Umm Al-Qura by royal decree in 1981.

The Egyptian Air Defenses Academy, is the country's scientific military college aimed to supply the army with its need of the professional engineers. It was established in 1974. Graduates of the Air Defenses Academy get commissioned as officers in the Egyptian Air Defense Command.

Helwan University is a public university based in Helwan, Egypt, which is part of Greater Cairo. It comprises 21 faculties as well as 50 research centers and productive units which connect the university with the problems of the Egyptian society.

El Shorouk Academy is a private educational academy, officially licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and offering programs in Architecture, Engineering, Mass communication, Media, Computer science, Accounting, Management Information Systems and Business administration, it is located in El Shorouk, Cairo, Egypt and has been operating since 1995

Higher Technological Institute is the first private technological institute in Egypt. It is a co-educational, land-grant, space-grant, research university located in 10th of Ramadan City. It is considered as one of the top engineering institutions in the Middle East and the flagship campus of the Higher Technological Institute System which comprises four main campuses within the city – the Higher Technological Institute at Tenth of Ramadan City, the Higher Technological Institute at 6 October City, the Higher Technological Institute at Mersa Matrouh, and the Higher Technological Institute at Al Minya. More than 20,000 students are enrolled in many undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. It is classified as a research university with very high research activity in environmental development. Founded by Prof. Mustafa Kamel, its present name was adopted in 1987 and classes were first held on September 21, 1988. It is noted for its strong engineering majors, business, computer sciences,communication disorders, creative writing, and history programs. It was founded by Prof. Mustafa Kamel on 27 October 1988, according to the law of non-profit national higher institutions No. 52 of 1970. The first academic year started on 21 September 1988. Total enrollment for the fall semester of 2014 was 21,976. The university campus comprises exactly 220 acres (89 ha), including Old Main, the first permanent academic building erected. The ratio of students to faculty is 40:1.

Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), also known as University of Technology of Madhya Pradesh, is a state university situated in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is a multi-campus affiliating, research university offering diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated, dual and doctoral courses in fields like engineering, technology, pharmacy, management, architecture, design and applied sciences. The University has been accredited with Grade ‘A’ by NAAC.

The German University in Cairo is a private non-profit university in New Cairo City, Egypt. GUC was founded in 2002 by the presidential decree 27/2002 and according to the Egyptian law number 101/1992. The University of Stuttgart, the University of Ulm, the University of Tübingen, the University of Mannheim, the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the State of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Germany, are among the main academic supporters of the GUC.
Ahmed Mahmoud Darwish is an Egyptian politician. He served as the first Chairman of the General Authority of Suez canal Economic Zone from 2015 to 2017. He previously served as Minister of State for Administration Development in the Nazif Cabinet between 2004 and 2011.
