Poi Dog Pondering is an American musical group, noted for its cross-pollination of diverse musical genres, including various forms of acoustic and electronic music. Founded in Hawaii in 1984 by Frank Orrall, initially as a solo project. In 1985 Orrall formed the first line-up of PDP to perform its first concert; at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. The band then embarked on a yearlong Street Performance Busking tour across North America, eventually settling in Austin, Texas in 1987, where they recorded their first three albums. In 1992, the band relocated, this time to Chicago, Illinois, where they began to incorporate Orchestral arrangements and elements of Electronic, House Music and Soul music into their Acoustic Rock style. The membership of Poi Dog Pondering has evolved from album to album, with Frank Orrall being the constant since the inception.
One Step at a Time is the eighteenth studio album released on April 21, 1998 on MCA Nashville Records by American country music singer George Strait. The album produced the singles "I Just Want to Dance with You", "True", and "We Really Shouldn't Be Doing This", which respectively reached No. 1, No. 2, and No. 4 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts in 1998.
Common Thread: The Songs of the Eagles is a tribute album to American rock band Eagles. It was released in 1993 on Giant Records to raise funds for the Walden Woods Project. The album features covers of various Eagles songs, as performed by country music acts. It was certified 3× Platinum in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on June 27, 1994, honoring shipments of three million copies in the United States. Several cuts from the album all charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts after the album's release, the most successful being Travis Tritt's rendition of "Take It Easy" at number 21. Common Thread won all of its performers a Country Music Association Award for Album of the Year at the 1994 ceremony.

Formerly a guitarist in Garth Brooks' road band, England recorded and released his solo debut album in 1995 on the Nashville division of RCA Records. The album's first single, "Should've Asked Her Faster", peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts; the second and third singles both failed to make Top 40 on the same chart. "Her Only Bad Habit Is Me" was originally recorded by George Strait on his 1991 album Chill of an Early Fall.

Time Flies is the tenth studio album from American country music singer John Michael Montgomery. It was released October 14, 2008 on his own label, Stringtown Records, as his first studio album since Letters from Home four years previous. Three singles have been released from it. The first two, "Mad Cowboy Disease" and "If You Ever Went Away", both failed to chart on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. "Forever", the third single, became his first Top 40 country hit since "Letters from Home" in 2004, peaking at number 28.

Singles from the album include "Leave Him Out of This", "The Tips of My Fingers", "A Woman Loves", "Crash Course in the Blues" and "Like a River to the Sea".
