The New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC) is an annual extra virgin olive oil competition founded in 2013 by Curtis Cord, the publisher of the trade journal Olive Oil Times. [1] The 2022 NYIOOC attracted 1,267 entries from 28 countries. [2] It is the largest international olive oil competition in the world. [3]
Extra virgin olive oil brands may be entered in the competition by any company or organization responsible for the brand in the market. This can be a farm, mill, cooperative, bottler, importer, distributor or marketer. The entry fee is $350 before January 1 (the "early registration period") and $400 between January 1 until the close of registration. [4]
In the 2022 NYIOOC there were 1,267 entries and 801 winners, including 543 Gold Awards and 258 Silver Awards. Italy won the most awards (158), followed by Spain (128). The United States won 94 awards, producers from Croatia won 96 awards and Greece won 79. [5]

Top Chef Junior is an American reality competition television series that serves as a spin-off of the popular Top Chef series. Ordered in 2008 for an eight-episode run on Bravo, the show had never aired, nor is it known if any episodes were produced at that time. However, nine years later, Top Chef Junior was mentioned as the marquee program for Universal Kids, an NBCUniversal-owned children's channel launched on September 9, 2017. Season 1 consisted of 14 episodes and feature 12 young chefs, aged 9–14. The winner receives $50,000 and the title of Top Chef Junior. The show is hosted by actress Vanessa Lachey, with Top Chef Masters and Top Chef Duels host Curtis Stone serving as its head judge. Top Chef Junior premiered on October 13, 2017. In November 2017 Top Chef Junior was renewed for a 2nd season, which premiered on September 8, 2018. It consists of 12 finalist chefs aged 9–14.

The Great British Bake Off is a British television baking competition, produced by Love Productions, in which a group of amateur bakers compete against each other in a series of rounds, attempting to impress two judges with their baking skills. One contestant is eliminated in each round, and the winner is selected from the contestants who reach the final. The first episode was aired on 17 August 2010, with its first four series broadcast on BBC Two, until its growing popularity led the BBC to move it to BBC One for the next three series. After its seventh series, Love Productions signed a three-year deal with Channel 4 to produce the series for the broadcaster.
