Nezim Allii was a notable criminal Boss of the Nezim gang from Kumanovo, Macedonia. Nezim and the majority of his Gang were arrested in 2014 in his home town in a police action named "Kalabria". [2] 350 Law enforcement officers participated in the arrest. [3] He used most of his profit from drug smuggling to purchase real estate in Kosovo. [4] In Macedonia, the police confiscated an estate in the village of Romanovce near Kumanovo of 1,405 m2 (15,120 sq ft) which included a private home, printing press, public swimming pool, and office building with total of 2,553 m2 (27,480 sq ft), 5 houses on 49,890 m2 (537,000 sq ft) of farm land. The 2015 Kumanovo clashes, also known as Operation Divo naselje, were series of shootouts which erupted during a raid between the Macedonian police and an armed group identifying itself as the National Liberation Army (NLA). They began on 9 May 2015 in the northern Macedonian town of Kumanovo. During the shootings, eight Macedonian policemen and 14 of the militants were killed, while 37 officers were wounded and hospitalized. The shooting ended on 10 May 2015, in an operation by the Macedonian police and armed forces, in which 30 militants were arrested and charged with terrorism-related charges by the Macedonian authorities.
