Nge Nge Htwe (born 9 March 1998) is a Burmese footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Myanmar women's national team.

Ko Htwe was a Burmese security officer who was killed in the assassination of Burmese pre-independence government leaders on 19 July 1947. He was a bodyguard of U Razak, the Minister for Ministry of Education and National Planning. Ko Htwe was the lone non-office holder who was killed. Seven cabinet ministers and a deputy minister were killed in their meeting room at the Secretariat compound in downtown Yangon. 19 July is commemorated each year as the Martyrs' Day in Myanmar.

Bayin Htwe Tai name Hso Yam Hpa (သိူဝ်ယႅမ်ႉၾႃႉ) was king of Prome (Pyay) from 1527 to 1532. His small kingdom, founded by his father Thado Minsaw in 1482, was conquered by the Confederation of Shan States in 1532, and he was taken prisoner to Upper Burma. He was later released, and returned to Prome only to be refused entry by his son Narapati. Bayin Htwe died at the outskirts of Prome (Pyay) in mid 1533.

Narapati of Prome was king of Prome from 1532 to 1539. He seized the throne after his father Bayin Htwe was taken captive by the Confederation of Shan States in 1532 back to Upper Burma. Bayin Htwe escaped after the Confederation's leader Sawlon was assassinated by his ministers, and returned to Prome (Pyay), c. May 1533. But Narapati shut the gates against his father, who soon died in the adjoining forests.

Than Than Htwe is a retired footballer from Myanmar who played for the Myanmar women's national football team as a midfielder. She played for the Myanmar women's national football team for about 15 years and retired in 2015 due to her age and injury. She was well known for her accurate long shots. She scored her last goal for Myanmar women's national football team in the match against Chinese Taipei women's national football team on 22 September 2015 in the 2015–16 AFC Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament. Than Than Htwe along with a Myanmar footballer Kyaw Ko Ko are part of the ‘Protect the Goal’ for Myanmar athletes to raise awareness in Burma on HIV/AIDS and prevention.

Ananda Thuriya was the first governor of Kanba Myint, the region that would later become the Principality of Toungoo (Taungoo), the predecessor state of the Toungoo dynasty. The governor started out his career in the military service of King Sithu II of Pagan (Bagan), rising to commander-in-chief of the royal army. He later became a chief minister at the royal court, and married a daughter of the king. In 1191, he was appointed governor of Kanba Myint,, then a frontier region. He was the paternal great grandfather of Thawun Gyi and Thawun Nge, who founded Toungoo in 1279.

San Yu Htwe is a Burmese recurve archer from Mindat. She competed in the archery competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where she ranked at #51 in the ranking round. She defeated Taru Kuoppa in the first round and Mackenzie Brown in the second round but lost to the then current Olympic Champion Ki Bo-bae in the third round. She said that she felt too excited to be competing against the current Olympic Champion that her performance was not as good as she hoped.
