Nicholas Kidd (born 21 April 1981) is a badminton player from Australia who has represented both England and Australia.
Kidd played in the 2007 BWF World Championships in men's singles and was defeated in the second round by Kenneth Jonassen of Denmark.
Kidd was runner-up in the Australian Closed Championships in 2008 and champion in 2009 in men's singles. He coached and captained the Western Australian team to bronze in the teams event, the Ede Clendinnen Shield, in 2008 and 2009.
As Australia's number one ranked men's singles player, Kidd was selected to represent Australia in the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Kidd was the Executive Officer of the Badminton Association of Western Australia. [1] [2]
He coaches the 1st and 2nd team in the Private Schools' Association, Christ Church Grammar School. Kidd is the coach of the Western Australian State badminton Under 15, 17 and 19 teams. In 2017, he coached the U17 WA State team in Invercargill.
The Western Australian Men’s cricket team, formerly nicknamed the Western Warriors, represent the Australian state of Western Australia in Australian domestic cricket. The team is selected and supported by the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA), and plays its home games at the WACA Ground and Perth Stadium in Perth. Virgil Soeroredjo is a former Surinamese badminton player and now coach. He competed for Suriname at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He also competed for Suriname at 3 Pan Am Games: the 2003 Pan American Games, the 2007 Pan American Games & the 2011 Pan American Games. As a young badminton player of the club SCVU in Suriname Virgil Soeroredjo won numerous juniors titles and was soon selected to represent his country abroad winning several juniors medals at Caribbean, Central American and South American events. Much of his success was with his doubles partner Mitchel Wongsodikromo.

Gaye Teede, also known as Gaye Switch or Gaye Walsh, is a former Australia netball international and a former Australia head coach. As a player, she represented Australia at the 1967, 1971 and 1979 World Netball Championships, winning one silver and two gold medals. She captained Australia as they won the gold medal in 1971 and was subsequently named the Western Australian Sports Star of the Year. She was head coach when the Australia U21 team won the 1988 World Youth Netball Championships. In 1990, Teede coached the senior Australia team for five tests. Between 1990 and 1998 Teede served as head coach at the Australian Institute of Sport. In 1989 she was inducted into the Western Australian Hall of Champions and in 2009 she was inducted into the Australian Netball Hall of Fame.
Jill McIntosh is a former Australia netball international and national team head coach. As a player, McIntosh was a member of the Australia team that won the gold medal at the 1983 World Netball Championships. She later coached Australia at the 1995 and 1999 World Netball Championships and at the 1998 and 2002 Commonwealth Games, guiding the team to four gold medals. In 2009 she was inducted into the Australian Netball Hall of Fame. McIntosh subsequently worked as a coach with the International Netball Federation, Central Pulse and with the national teams of Singapore, Northern Ireland and Jamaica.
Li Lingwei is a Chinese badminton player of the 1980s. She was elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee in 2012, and in December 2016, she was elected Vice President of the Chinese Olympic Committee. Li is heavily involved in improving women’s participation and fair representation in sport.
