Nicholsville is a hamlet located to the north of, and contiguous with, Deer Lake in Newfoundland, Canada. The hamlet has access to Deer Lake Beach and the Humber River. In 1986, Nicholsville, had a population of 509 residents and a total of 176 residences. [1]
In 1872, a family from Cape Breton Island, led by George Aaron Nichols Sr., settled on the eastern shore of the lake and initiated a pine tree cutting operation. [2] This location was named Nicholsville and experienced growth with the construction of the railway during the 1880s and 1890s.
In 1994, the boundaries of Deer Lake underwent a significant expansion through the amalgamation with two smaller communities, Nicholsville and Spillway. [3]

Pymatuning State Park is a Pennsylvania state park covering 21,122 acres (8,548 ha) in Conneaut, North Shenango, Pine, Sadsbury, South Shenango, West Fallowfield and West Shenango Townships, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Pymatuning State Park is the largest state park in Pennsylvania and contains the 17,088 acres (6,915 ha) of Pymatuning Lake, three-quarters of which is in Pennsylvania and one-quarter of which is in Ohio. A three-mile (5 km) causeway extends between Pennsylvania and Ohio near the center of the lake. The lake provides fishing and boating year round. There are two natural areas, Clark Island and Blackjack in the park. The park is also home to the University of Pittsburgh's Pymatuning Laboratory of Ecology. Like all Pennsylvania state parks, admission to the Pymatuning State Park is free. The northern access for Pymatuning State Park can be reached from U.S. Route 6 and the southern access is reached from U.S. Route 322.
The Anglican Diocese of Western Newfoundland is a diocese of the Ecclesiastical Province of Canada of the Anglican Church of Canada. It comprises 77 congregations grouped in 30 parishes in Western Newfoundland, with approximately 17,888 souls. Most parishes are multipoint - with more than two congregations - with only one full-time clergy. As of 2012, the diocese had 20 full-time and over 350 lay ministers. As of 2019, this Diocese allows clergy to officiate same-sex marriages.

Route 430 is a 413-kilometre-long (257 mi) paved highway that traverses the Great Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The route begins at the intersection of Route 1 in Deer Lake and ends in St. Anthony. Officially known as the Great Northern Peninsula Highway, it has been designated as the Viking Trail since it is the main auto route to L'Anse aux Meadows, the only proven Viking era settlement in North America. It is the primary travel route in the Great Northern Peninsula and the only improved highway between Deer Lake and St. Anthony. It is the main access route to the Labrador Ferry terminal in St. Barbe.
