The fifth annual Nickelodeon Australian Kids' Choice Awards were held on 10 October 2007 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. [1] The show was hosted by The Veronicas and Zac Efron. [2] Voting for the nominees of the awards commenced on 1 July 2007 and ended on 22 July 2007 [1] and on 1 August 2007 the full list of nominees were announced with new category Biggest Greenie (who is the person kids think is doing most to save the planet). [3] On 14 August 2007 the voting commenced. Torrie Wilson and Bobby Lashley were also scheduled to appear. [4]

Shannon Noll is an Australian singer-songwriter who first came to prominence as runner-up of the first season of Australian Idol in 2003, which led to him being signed to Sony BMG. He has released five top-ten albums, including two number-one multi-platinum sellers. Noll's first ten singles all peaked inside the ARIA top ten, including three that reached number one. Bindi Sue Irwin is an Australian television personality, conservationist, zookeeper and actress. She is the elder of the two children of conservationist and television personality Steve Irwin and his conservationist wife, Terri Irwin, who owns the Australia Zoo. Bindi's younger brother is Robert, a television personality and photographer, and they are the grandchildren of naturalist and herpetologist Bob Irwin.

The Naked Brothers Band and Miley Cyrus were musical performances for the show. A sweepstakes was announced to promote the show. The number of votes cast broke the record previously set in 2007. 86,708,020 kids cast 88,254,272 votes between March 3–29 in 18 categories, to honor and vote for their favorites. Votes were cast via Nick.com, Nicktropolis, TurboNick, and for the first time via Nick's new mobile website (wap.nick.com). The award show attracted 7.7 million viewers.
Zachary David Alexander Efron is an American actor. Efron began acting professionally in the early 2000s and rose to prominence as a teen idol for his leading role as Troy Bolton in the High School Musical trilogy (2006–2008). During this time, he also starred in the musical film Hairspray (2007) and the comedy film 17 Again (2009).

The 6th Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards was held on November 14, 1992, at Universal Studios Hollywood. Holly Robinson, Brian Austin Green, and Tori Spelling hosted the show. As of 2024, This is the only KCA broadcast to be held in the month of November rather than March or April, because of that, a 1993 show was not held due to scheduling conflicts between its mid-November date and the 1994 ceremony in May of that year.
