Nicki Bluhm (born September 22, 1979) is a singer-songwriter from Lafayette, California who formed The Gramblers in 2008. Since leaving the band she has released one studio album To Rise You Gotta Fall. Her other solo albums Toby's Song, Driftwood came before the Gramblers.

Career

Bluhm is from Lafayette, California and since 2008 has released several albums including two with The Gramblers. They recorded David Bowie's song, Pressure, for the "Best Moment" segment of the Espys awards in 2012 [1] and their YouTube video of the Hall & Oates song "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)" has been viewed more than a million times. [2] [3] [4] Bluhm has focused on a solo career but had stated in 2018 that she is not "closing any doors" with the Gramblers. [5]

In 2023 Nicki Bluhm toured with Phil Lesh and Friends, [6] [7] performed in 15 shows across the United States and Portugal, [8] and released 8 digital singles covering the songs of Cher. [9]

Nothing but the Beat is the fifth studio album by French DJ and record producer David Guetta, released on 26 August 2011. Released as a double album, the first disc features collaborations with artists from the R&B, hip hop and pop worlds such as Lil Wayne, Taio Cruz, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Afrojack, Chris Brown, Flo Rida, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Dev, Timbaland, Jessie J and Sia. "Woman's World" is a song by American singer Cher, from her twenty-fifth studio album Closer to the Truth (2013). It was released on June 18, 2013 by Warner Bros. Records as the album's lead single. On June 18, 2013, Cher's album was made available to pre-order on iTunes. Upon doing so, "Woman's World" would become an instant download. Sonically, it is a dance-pop, EDM, electropop and electro song with themes of women's empowerment in its lyrics. "Woman's World" became a modest hit on Billboard's top-selling electronic dance music chart. Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers were an American band, formed in 2008 in San Francisco. Band members included Nicki Bluhm, Steve Adams and formerly Tim Bluhm. The band has released four albums: Toby's Song, Driftwood, Self-Titled, and Loved Wild Lost, and their "Van Sessions" videos have been popular on YouTube. Most of their songs are written by Nicki Bluhm and other members.

"Ganja Burn" is a song recorded by Trinidadian-American rapper Nicki Minaj for her fourth studio album, Queen (2018). It was written by Minaj, Jairus Mozee, and Jeremy Reid; while its production was done by the latter. "Ganja Burn" is a reggae-inspired reggae fusion song, that lyrically finds Minaj defending her position in the music industry, while sending a message to other female rappers. To promote it, an accompanying music video for the song directed by Mert and Marcus was released on August 13.

Deren Michael Ney is an American musician, songwriter and filmmaker from San Francisco, California. He performed with Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers before making his solo debut in 2019 with "West Coast Mama" on Volplane Records.
