Nicolas E. Chammas is a Lebanese Greek Orthodox economist, financier and businessman.

Early life

He was born in Beirut in 1963.

He graduated from American University of Beirut (AUB), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard Business School.

He earned a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, a master's degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering, and a master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on International Economy. [1] [2]

Career

He serves as General Secretary of the Lebanese Economic Organizations and President of the Beirut Traders Association. He sits on the Board of Trustees of MIT and is the past president of the MIT Alumni Association. He is Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors at Cedrus Bank SAL and Managing Partner of the Elie D. Chammas & Co.

Social and economic advisory missions to various ministries, public institutions and international organizations, focusing on employment, trade, development, investment, finance and competitiveness.

Frequent appearances on Lebanese and Arab TV stations. Regular contributions to the national press.

Haigazian University

Haigazian University is a higher education institution founded in 1955 in Beirut, Lebanon as Haigazian College. For a brief period starting 1992, the name was changed to Haigazian University College before the institution adopted the present name in 1996. It offers programs leading to Bachelor's degrees in the Arts and Sciences as well as Business Administration and Economics, in addition to Master's degrees in the Arts, Sciences and Business Administration. English is the main language of instruction, although some courses are offered in Armenian and Arabic. All degrees from Haigazian are recognized by the Lebanese government and the Association of International Colleges and Universities. Saint Joseph University

Saint Joseph University of Beirut is a private Catholic research university located in Beirut, Lebanon, which was founded in 1875 by French Jesuit missionaries. It is regarded among the top and most reputable academic institutions in Lebanon and the Middle East.
