Nicole Craig (born 14 January 1974) is poet, short-story writer, editor, copy writer, artist and curator from Trinidad and Tobago.

Early life and education

She was born in Trinidad and Tobago, to Lorna Craig and Clyde Telesford and is the youngest sister of Cleveland Telesford and Osborne Craig. She attended Nelson Street Girls' RC School, Success/Laventille Composite School, Barataria Secondary Comprehensive School and the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.

Career

Craig has spent over 11 years in the advertising industry in Trinidad and Tobago. She has worked for companies such as McCann Erickson, Lonsdale Saatchi and Saatchi and its group of companies.

She has had several successful art exhibitions, and is known throughout the art world for her interesting uses of art to mirror deities and real life situations with a style that is uniquely her own. This style gained her a spot on the Absolut Vodka, Absolut Connections art tour through the Caribbean and Latin America.

Craig was the first performer at One Voice @ Vino and is the current curator for its art program. Currently, she is also a freelance copy writer, professional artist, freelance curator, and entrepreneur.

Lisa Wickham is a media producer-director-TV personality in Trinidad and Tobago. She began her television career at the age of six on the weekly Rikki Tikki Children's Show, a live programme on the only national TV station in Trinidad and Tobago at the time, Trinidad and Tobago Television (TTT). Lisa literally grew up on national television, eventually hosting shows such as the daily morning prime-time news and talk show T&T This Morning, the daily mid-morning talk show Community Dateline and the iconic teen talent show Party Time. In 2005, the government of Trinidad and Tobago closed TTT and in 2006 re-opened the station under the name Caribbean New Media Group (CNMG). CNMG was then closed in 2018.

PeakBiety Branding + Advertising is an independent advertising agency focusing on brand perception. The headquarters are located in downtown Tampa, Florida and the agency serves a variety of sectors including healthcare, technology, financial services, manufacturing and professional services. PeakBiety is a member of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4As) and is one of the only agencies in the area to hold such a membership. The agency was founded in 1990 by Glen Peak and Mike Biety after both having worked for many years in large national agencies. It grew steadily through the 1990s by managing high-profile accounts.

Marina Salandy-Brown FRSA, Hon. FRSL, is a Trinidadian journalist, broadcaster and cultural activist. She was formerly an editor and Senior Manager in Radio and News and Current Affairs programmes with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in London, one of the BBC's few top executives from an ethnic minority background. She is the founder and director of the NGC Bocas Lit Fest, held annually in Trinidad and Tobago, "the biggest literary festival in the Anglophone Caribbean", and of the OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature. She was also co-founder of the Hollick Arvon Caribbean Writers Prize. In 2020, Salandy-Brown received the Ferdinand Magellan Award from Chile, and was elected an Honorary Fellow of the United Kingdom's Royal Society of Literature.

The NGC Bocas Lit Fest is the Trinidad and Tobago literary festival that takes place annually during the last weekend of April in Port of Spain. Inaugurated in 2011, it is the first major literary festival in the southern Caribbean and largest literary festival in the Anglophone Caribbean. A registered non-profit company, the festival has as its title sponsor the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago (NGC). Other sponsors and partners include First Citizens Bank, One Caribbean Media (OCM), who sponsor the associated OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature, CODE, and the Commonwealth Foundation.

Althea McNish textile designer

Althea McNishFSCD was a British textile designer of Trinidadian origin who has been called the first British designer of African descent to earn an international reputation. Born in Trinidad, McNish moved to Britain in the 1950s. She was associated with the Caribbean Artists Movement (CAM) in the 1960s, participating in CAM's exhibitions and seminars and helping to promote Caribbean arts to a British public. Her work is represented in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Whitworth Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Museum of Domestic Design and Architecture and the Cooper-Hewitt, among other places.
