Nidaros Hockey is an ice hockey team in Trondheim, Norway. They currently play in the First Division, the second level of Norwegian ice hockey. The team plays its home games in the Leangen Ishall.
Following the bankruptcy of Rosenborg IHK in 2014, the city of Trondheim was left without a team in the two highest ice hockey leagues of Norway. In an attempt to bring back an elite hockey team to Trondheim, Nidaros Hockey was founded in the middle of 2015.
On 12 March 2016, Nidaros Hockey was promoted to the 2016-17 First division, the second tier of Norwegian hockey.

Nidaros Cathedral is a Church of Norway cathedral located in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county. It is built over the burial site of King Olav II, who became the patron saint of the nation, and is the traditional location for the consecration of new kings of Norway. It was built over a 230-year period, from 1070 to 1300 when it was substantially completed. However additional work, additions and renovations have continued intermittently since then, including a major reconstruction starting in 1869 and completed in 2001.
Nidaros, Niðarós or Niðaróss was the medieval name of Trondheim when it was the capital of Norway's first Christian kings. It was named for its position at the mouth of the River Nid.
Stavanger Ishockeyklubb, commonly referred to as Stavanger Oilers, is a Norwegian professional ice hockey team based in Stavanger, Norway. They currently play in the Fjordkraftligaen, which is the top division in Norwegian ice hockey. As of 2023, it is the only team in the league from western Norway. The Oilers play their home matches in DNB Arena.
Leangen Ishall is an indoor ice hockey arena located in Leangen, Trondheim, Norway. The capacity of the arena is 3,000 and it was opened in 1977. It is the home arena of the Nidaros ice hockey team. The arena also hosted the home games of the Trondheim Black Panthers and Rosenborg ice hockey team.
The NTNUI Nidaros Domers are an American football team based in Trondheim, Norway. They are currently members of the Norwegian Federation of American Sports (NAIF). Originally called the Trondheim Tomcats, the team was founded in 1992, competing in NoAFF Division II until winning the division championship in 1998. The team changed its name to the Nidaros Domers, and in the late 1990s, joined the NTNUI, adding its initials to its moniker.
Eliteserien, known as Fjordkraftligaen due to sponsorship, is the premier Norwegian ice hockey league, organised by the Norwegian Ice Hockey Association. It comprises 10 clubs and works on the premise of promotion and relegation, in which the two teams who placed last must play the top two teams from First Division for the rights to play in the next Eliteserie season.
Ishockeyklubben Sparta Sarpsborg is a Norwegian ice hockey team based in Sarpsborg, Norway. They currently play in the Fjordkraft League. They play their home games in the Sparta Amfi arena and is Norway's oldest ice hockey rink. The team colours are blue and white.
The Trondheim Black Panthers, founded 18 June 1986 as Trondheim Ishockeyklubb, is a defunct ice hockey club which was based in Trondheim, Norway. They played their home games in Leangen Ishall and were members of the highest ice hockey league in Norway from 1987 until 2008. During this time, they won the League Championship twice, in 1988–89 and 1991–92, and were twice runners-up in the Norwegian Ice Hockey Championship, in 1989 and 2005. The club folded on 3 March 2008 due to severe financial problems. The existing club Rosenborg then emerged as Trondheim's number one team. Rosenborg will play in Division One throughout the 2008–09 campaign. Several of the Trondheim players signed with Rosenborg.

Rosenborg Ishockeyklubb Elite (RIHK) was a Norwegian ice hockey club located in Trondheim, Norway. In March, 2010, Rosenborg IHKE was promoted to the GET-ligaen, but the senior department of the club is currently inactive following a bankruptcy in 2014. Several people involved in the organization went on to found a new Trondheim-based club, Nidaros Hockey, in 2014.

He served as an MP in the Storting from Sør-Trøndelag from 2009 to 2017, and deputy leader of the party from November 2015 to 2019.
