Niels Gunther Becker (born 16 June 1942) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Footscray in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He later went on to become a professor at the Australian National University, distinguishing himself in the fields of biostatistics, epidemiology and public health. [1] [2]

Australian rules football, also called Australian football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground.
