Nightwork Films (a Dutch film production team consisting out of International Media and Entertainment Management students) has officially been founded on 21 October 2011. Their name, Nightwork Films, originates from when they were officially founded: in the middle of the night. As a sort of tradition, they regularly pull an all-nighter to finish their projects. [1] The team was created to participate in the Entertainment Experience, a Dutch filmmaking competition held by world-famous director Paul Verhoeven, with the goal to make the first user generated movie ever.

Paul Verhoeven is a Dutch director, screenwriter and film producer. Active in both the Netherlands and Hollywood, Verhoeven's blending of graphic violence and sexual content with social satire are trademarks of both his drama and science fiction films. He directed the films Turkish Delight (1973), RoboCop (1987), Total Recall (1990), Basic Instinct (1992), Showgirls (1995), Starship Troopers (1997) and Elle (2016).

Entertainment Experience

Entertainment Experience is a film project in which two films are created. One user-generated film and one film made by Dutch director Paul Verhoeven.

The script consists of eight parts. Part one was written bij Kim van Kooten. The "crowd" (participators of the competition) will subsequently write the scripts for the seven following parts. Both Paul Verhoeven and the participating film crews will make their film based on those scripts. The process of making the film is shown in a TV show on Dutch channel 'Veronica'. The project was launched on 21 September 2011 and will end somewhere in May 2012.

Nightwork Films was created when the Entertainment Experience started in September 2011. They were the first film crew to enter the competition and upload an entry, two weeks before the first deadline. They started a successful marketing campaign which brought them their victory with 1182 voters. [2] They won the first part of the competition and their entry will be used in the user-generated movie, which will premiere on 28 May 2012.

Flawed

In October, 2011 Nightwork Films started with a new project: the short film: ‘Flawed,’ which they submitted in March, 2012 to the Cannes Film festival. For this project, three new members were added to the team: Director of Photography: Alessandra Scalora, Story developer and production assistant: Boudewijn Arbouw and Public Relations manager and production assistant: Josephien Jansen.

Founded in 1946, the invitation-only festival is held annually at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. It is one of the "Big Three" alongside the Venice Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival.

All the team members are students who study the International Media & Entertainment Management bachelor at the NHTV University of Applied Sciences in Breda, the Netherlands.

Hollow Man is a 2000 science fiction horror film directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Kevin Bacon, Elisabeth Shue and Josh Brolin. Actor Bacon portrays the titular character, a scientist who renders himself invisible, only to go on a killing spree after going violently insane, a story inspired by H. G. Tamara Benitez Filipina cinematographer

Tamara Benitez is a Filipina Cinematographer and camera operator, based in Metro Manila, Philippines. Known primarily for her underwater videography, Benitez has worked extensively for the ABS-CBN Corporation and under its production companies Star Cinema and VIVA Films, and has worked with such directors as Lav Diaz, Wenn Deramas, Sig Sanchez, Paolo Herras, and Martin Aviles. She has also worked with Cinematographer Arvin Viola on numerous occasions. Benitez is one of few female Cinematographers working in the cinema of the Philippines. In 2006 she was Director of Photography for the featured pictures Heremias and Lambanog, and in 2011 shot footage for the TV series Survivor India and served as Director of Photography for the TV series Where's Tony.

As Cinematographer, Todd has applied his distinctive look to acclaimed TV projects such as Friday Night Lights, HBO’s The Newsroom and The Leftovers as well as pilots for Quantico, 12 Monkeys, the Netflix Original Series Santa Clarita Diet, Paramount TV's Waco and Universal's Dirty John.
