Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen (born 14 February 1994) is a Danish motorcycle speedway rider. [1] [2]
Jakobsen reached four consecutive finals of the Speedway Under-21 World Championship from 2012 to 2015. [3]
In 2015, he began his British league career after he signed for Rye House Rockets for the 2015 Premier League speedway season. The following season he moved to Peterborough Panthers before riding for Berwick Bandits for two seasons. [1]
He rode in the top tier of British Speedway, riding for the Belle Vue Aces and Poole Pirates in the SGB Premiership 2019. [4] [5] In 2021, he returned to Berwick again to ride in the SGB Championship having been with the Scottish team since 2018. [6]

The SGB Premiership 2018 was the 84th season of the top division of Great British Speedway in 2018. The season ran between March and October 2018 and had eight teams participating. The line-up of teams remained the same as in 2017. The Swindon Robins were the defending champions after winning the title in 2017. BT Sport continued its TV coverage of the SGB Premiership in 2018. Poole Pirates defeated King's Lynn Stars in the Play off final. It was Poole's tenth tier one title, which brought them level in second place with the Wembley Lions in the historical records.

The SGB Premiership 2019 was the 85th season of the top division, called the SGB Premiership, of the British speedway championship in 2019. From the 2018 league season two teams, Leicester Lions and Somerset Rebels, dropped down to the next league down, the SGB Championship, and were replaced in the league by Ipswich Witches and Peterborough Panthers. Although no promotion or relegation exist in British speedway these changes were taken purely due to financial concerns of the teams that dropped out of the SGB Premiership. Rye House Rockets who had taken part in the previous SGB Premiership season closed down.
The SGB Championship 2019 is the second division of Great British speedway. The season runs between March and October 2019 and consisted of 12 participating teams. The current league champions are the Workington Comets who completed an excellent 2018 season winning three major trophies. Four new teams joined the SGB Championship in 2019 with two of them dropping down from the 2018 SGB Premiership league season these teams were Leicester Lions and Somerset Rebels with Ipswich Witches and Peterborough Panthers moving in the opposite direction. Two teams from the third tier of British speedway the National League Birmingham Brummies and Eastbourne Eagles moved up into this season's league while the Lakeside Hammers did not compete.
