Ivanildo Duarte Pereira (born 12 March 1966), better known as Nildo, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a forward. [1]
Nildo had the best moment of his career when he was champion of the 1995 Copa Libertadores with Grêmio. Nildo was also the scorer of the goal on the 1994 Copa do Brasil final, in Grêmio's victory over Ceará, 1–0. [2] [3]
In 2022 Nildo was announced as coach of Sport Real, in the second division of Pará. [4]
The Copa do Brasil is a knockout football competition played by 92 teams, representing all 26 Brazilian states plus the Federal District. It is the Brazilian domestic cup and it is the Brazilian equivalent of the FA Cup, Taça de Portugal, Copa del Rey, Scottish Cup and Copa Argentina, even though it has much more prestige and is considered almost as important as the Brazilian League, as the prize money is higher than the Brasileirão's.
