Nils Andersson (born October 15, 1991) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey defenceman. [1] He last played with HV71 in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). [2]

Playing originally with the Växjö Lakers, Andersson made his Elitserien debut on September 13, 2011. [3]

Djurgården compete in the Swedish second-tier ice hockey league, the HockeyAllsvenskan. The men's team is the most successful Swedish ice hockey team of all time, as 16-time Swedish champions, 12-time runners-up, 26-time finalists, and leaders of the marathon table for the top flight of Swedish hockey. The ice hockey section was first established in 1922 and has since been playing in the Swedish league system, with the exception of four years in the 1930s when the hockey section was temporarily dissolved.

Brynäs IF is a Swedish professional ice hockey team from Gävle. The club currently plays in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), promoted from the HockeyAllsvenskan, the second tier of ice hockey in Sweden, following the 2023–24 season. The club played in the top-tier Swedish league from 1960 to 2023, a total of 63 seasons, longer than any other Swedish club, before suffering relegation for the first time in franchise history at the conclusion of the 2022–23 season. They have won the Swedish championship 13 times, second only to Djurgården with 16 wins. In the 2023/2024 Hockeyallsvenskan season Brynäs won promotion back to the SHL after beating Djurgården 4-0 in the final.

Jacob Peter Josefson is a Swedish former professional ice hockey centre who last played for Djurgårdens IF of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). After Josefson began playing hockey at the age of five, he was acquired by Djurgården's youth organization at the age of ten, where he also began playing junior hockey in 2005. Josefson made his Elitserien debut on 28 February 2008, against Timrå IK, and became a regular member of Djurgården's senior team. His achievements in the Swedish Elitserien drew attention from NHL and he was selected in the first round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils, 20th overall. Josefson played with Djurgården for an additional season, before signing with the Devils in May 2010 and played for them until 2017 when he left for the Buffalo Sabres.

Brodin has represented Sweden internationally at the 2010 World Junior Championships. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs, who selected him in the fifth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

The 2010–11 Elitserien season was Djurgårdens IF Hockey's 35th season in the Swedish elite league, Elitserien. The regular season began on away ice on 16 September 2010 against HV71 and concluded on 5 March 2011 away against Timrå IK. This season saw Djurgården's attempt to win the playoffs, after losing the previous season's final.

Lias Andersson is a Swedish professional ice hockey forward for EHC Biel-Bienne of the National League (NL). He was selected in the first round, seventh overall, by the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. Andersson has also previously played for the Los Angeles Kings.

The 2019 season was Djurgårdens IF's 119th in existence, their 64th season in Allsvenskan and their 19th consecutive season in the league. They competed in Allsvenskan and the 2018–19 and 2019–20 editions of the Svenska Cupen.
