Niranjan Pati

Niranjan Pati (born January 30, 1959) is a professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at the Rohrer College of Business, Rowan University, NJ. [1] He was Dean of two AACSB accredited business schools for 11 years, and chair of another business school for four years.

Early life and education

Pati was born and raised in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. He completed his undergraduate education in Production Engineering at Ranchi University with the highest distinction. [2] Afterwards, he obtained his Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1983. After a brief spell of employment in India’s public sector, Pati received his Master's Degree from Northwestern University in 1988 under the guidance of Dr. Wallace J. Hopp. He obtained his doctorate from the same university in 1990. [2] He wrote his dissertation on the “Investment Decision Making in Advanced Manufacturing Systems”. under the guidance of Drs. Donald N. Frey, Dipak C. Jain, Gustave Rath. [3]

Career

Before he entered academia, Pati worked in business and industry in India. He then served as the Chair of the Department of Management in the College of Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. Pati served as Dean of the School of Business, Indiana University-Kokomo. from 2001 to 2008. [4] He served as the Dean of Rohrer College of Business, Rowan University from 2008 to 2012. [5] [6] [7]

Pati has developed methods of analyzing urban development and economic growth. [8] [9] [10] He is the author of many articles published in refereed manufacturing, business and education-related publications, [11] and is frequently quoted in the media as an expert on business topic. [12]

Affiliations

Pati has been active in the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, was a member of its Peace Through Commerce task force and was the founding chair of the New Business School Deans affinity group. [13] He also is the chair of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities affinity group. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honorary Society, Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences, and several civic groups, and has served on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce of South New Jersey (CCSNJ) for 2009-2012. [14]

Family

Pati currently lives in New Jersey with his wife, and three children. He is an avid follower of Cricket, Basketball, Tennis, and Football.

Richard A. Cosier is an American academic. He is Leeds Professor of Management and Co-Director, Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship. He was the Dean of the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University from August 1, 1999 to June 30, 2010. In the 1990s Cosier was dean of the Michael F. Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma. He was the 2008-2009 chair of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business in Tampa, Florida.

Soumitra Dutta Indian academic and university dean

Soumitra Dutta is an Indian academic, author and entrepreneur. He is the dean of Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, having taken up the post from 1 June 2022. He was previously a professor of management, as well as the former Founding Dean, at the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University in New York. He was dean of SC Johnson College of Business from 2012 to 2018. Before his appointment to Cornell, he was the Roland Berger professor of business and technology at INSEAD.

Ihsan Isik is a tenured professor of international banking and finance at the Department of Accounting and Finance, Rohrer College of Business, Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ. He serves as the Director of International Affairs for the Rohrer COB since June 2013. Ihsan Isik received his B.S. in Management with high honors from the Middle East Technical University,, his M.S. in Finance from Texas Tech University,, his M.A. in Economics (1997) and his Ph.D. in Financial Economics from University of New Orleans.

Pforzheim University is a public university of applied science in Germany. William G. Rohrer II was an American businessman and Republican Party politician. He was the founder and chairman of the First Peoples Bank of New Jersey, the first bank in South Jersey to attain $1 billion in deposits. He served as the first Mayor of Haddon Township, New Jersey from 1951 to 1987, for 36 years.

Eli Jones (academic)

Eli Jones is an academic administrator, entrepreneur, professor, business leader, corporate board member, author, and professional speaker. He is a Professor of Marketing and Lowry and Peggy Mays Eminent Scholar at his alma mater, Texas A&M University. He served as a business dean for three flagship business schools, including Dean of Mays Business School at Texas A&M University for six years. He is the former dean of the E. J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University, followed by the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.
