Niranjan Purushottamdas Patel (born 17 November 1948)is an Indian politician. He is a former member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from the Petlad Assembly constituency from 2007 to 2017. Till now he become 6 time MLA from Petlad. [2] [3] He is associated with the Indian National Congress. [4] But because of not getting ticket from Gujarat he left INC in 2024 and join Bharatiya Janata Party [5]

He was a member of RSS since 1940s,of Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1960s,Janata Party in 1970s,and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from 1980. He left the BJP in 2012 and formed the Gujarat Parivartan Party. He is a Former Member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from the Mandvi Assembly constituency since 2002 to 2007 and Abdasa Assembly constituency since 2012 to 2014. in 2014 by-election,Shaktisinh Gohil was elected. Patel was then associated with Indian National Congress but after 2014 he is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party. Later in 2019,he was suspended out of BJP.
