Noel Thompson competed for Freeport High School on Long Island, where he was an undefeated state champion in 1998. He earned All-American honors at the USA Wrestling Junior Nationals, and was also a folkstyle national All-American. He wrestled for respected coach Terry Haise in high school.

College Graduate from Hofstra University in 2004 with a degree in marketing. He wrestled for four years and was a three-time team captain. He was a four-time NCAA qualifier ‒ making the All-American Round three times ‒ and amassed 130 career wins. [1] Thompson was awarded the Howdy Myers Award as Hofstra's Outstanding Male Athlete. He was inducted into the Wrestling Hall Of Fame [2] in 2014

He became the first African-American to serve in the role of Team Leader for the U.S. Women's program, [3] and has been a leading advocate for providing opportunities for all to wrestle throughout his career. [4]

Joetta Clark Diggs is a retired American track and field champion, specializing in middle distance running. She ran for more than 28 consecutive years never missing an indoor or outdoor season, with her races being in the 800 meters and 1500 meters. A 4-time Olympian in 1988, 1992, 1996 and 2000, she competed in every outdoor USA Championships or Olympic trials between 1979 and 2000, winning five outdoor championships. Indoors, she was in the national championship race in 18 of the last 19 years, winning seven times. Clark Diggs was ranked in the top 10 in the world since 1991. Moreover, in 1998 at age 36, she was ranked number four in the world. This was her best ranking out of six such appearances.

The Cornell Big Red wrestling team represents Cornell University of Ithaca, New York in collegiate wrestling. It is one of the most successful and storied collegiate wrestling programs in the nation with over 20 individual NCAA champions, 42 Ivy League championships, and 27 Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association championships since the program's 1907 founding.

Mark Churella, Sr. is a former American wrestler and collegiate wrestling coach. He was a three-time NCAA national champion from 1977 to 1979. He served as the head wrestling coach at UNLV from 1979 to 1984. He has been inducted into the University of Michigan Athletic Hall of Honor (1996) and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame (1999) and was the 2012 recipient of the Bob Ufer Award for outstanding service to the University of Michigan Athletic Department.

Hooman "Mo" Tavakolian is an Iranian-American former wrestler, author, wrestling coach, sports diplomat and a member of United World Wrestling. Tavakolian was nominated in 2017 for the Peace and Sport Federation's “Diplomatic Action of the Year” award for his efforts to bring together the Islamic Republic of Iran Wrestling Federation and the USA Wrestling Federation through the 2017 Wrestling World Cup, during which he was leader of the US team. Iran, the World Cup host, had initially barred the US team from competing in retaliation for President Trump's travel bans. He is a 2017 National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum inductee. He is an executive on Wall Street and works at a global hedge fund. and is on the board of directors of Titan Mercury Wrestling.

Shannon Elizabeth Smith is an American lacrosse coach and former player. Smith concluded her collegiate career at Northwestern University as their all-time leading goal scorer with 254, three-time IWLCA first-team All-American, three-time All-ALC first-team choice, and a two-time MVP of the NCAA Championship.
