Non Stop Dancers were an Australian pop, funk band formed in 1984 by Kevin Jones on guitar and vocals, Karen Steains on bass guitar, Jane Stewart on keyboards, Brett Van Kriedt on drums, and his brother, Larry Van Kriedt on saxophone, guitar and vocals (ex-AC/DC, Eighty Eights). [1] They released a full length album, Surprise Surprise, in December 1984. [1] Their second single, "Shake this City", reached the Top 50 on the Kent Music Report Singes Chart. [2] The group broke up in late 1986. [1]

<i>Dekadance</i> EP by INXS

Dekadance is the title of two different collections of remixes by Australian rock group INXS: a 1983 four-track 12" and cassette EP released in the United States of songs from Shabooh Shoobah; and a 1985 seven-track cassette released in Australia of songs from The Swing. The latter included a cover version of "Jackson" as a duet by INXS' Michael Hutchence with Jenny Morris, their backing singer. This compilation peaked at No. 2 on the Australian Kent Music Report Albums Chart in April 1985.

It was produced by Canadian, Jack Richardson, at Armstrong Studios in Melbourne. The album peaked at No. 32 on the Kent Music Report Albums Chart. Summer Love (Sherbet song) 2006 single by Sherbet

"Summer Love" is a song by Australian pop group, Sherbet and was released in March 1975. It became their first number-one hit on the Australian Kent Music Report Singles Chart. The song was promoted on the newly aired ABC TV pop series, Countdown, which gave it wide exposure. From early 1975 the group made more appearances on the show than any other band in the programme's history. In October, at the King of Pop Awards, "Summer Love" won the Most Popular Australian Single, the band won Most Popular Australian Group and their lead singer, Daryl Braithwaite, won the King of Pop award.

<i>First Under the Wire</i> 1979 studio album by The Little River Band

First Under the Wire is the fifth album by Australian group Little River Band. Released in July 1979 by Capitol Records, it peaked at No. 2 on the Australian Kent Music Report Albums Chart. It was the band's only United States top ten album and was certified platinum status according to RIAA. The album included two top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hits in "Lonesome Loser" and "Cool Change".

Innocent Bystanders were a Perth based band formed in 1983 featuring vocalist/songwriter Brett Keyser and guitarist Diesel.

The Monitors were an Australian pop band of the early 1980s. They were primarily a studio group which involved a collaboration between Terry McCarthy on vocals and keyboards, and Mark Moffatt on guitar, bass guitar and keyboards. They used various guest vocalists. Their debut single, "Singin' in the '80s", was released in 1980 and reached No. 16 on the Kent Music Report singles chart. A second single, "Nobody Told Me", peaked in the top 40. The Monitors issued a sole album, Back from Their Recent Illness, for which Ricky Fataar had joined on drums, percussion, guitar and keyboards. The group disbanded in 1982.

Big on Love is a song by Australian new wave rock band Models. It was released as a single on 18 November 1984, well ahead of its parent album, Out of Mind, Out of Sight, which was issued in August 1985. It peaked at No. 24 on the Australian Kent Music Report Singles Chart in December 1984, remaining at that position for two weeks. It was produced for Mushroom Records by Reggie Lucas, and was co-written by Sean Kelly, the group's lead guitarist and lead vocalist, and Lucas. For the single, Models line up was Kelly, James Freud on backing vocals and bass guitar, Andrew Duffield on keyboards, and Barton Price on drums.

April Sun in Cuba 1977 single by Dragon

"April Sun in Cuba" is a song recorded by New Zealand group Dragon, released in October 1977. It is the first single to be released from Dragon's fourth studio album Running Free. "April Sun in Cuba" first charted on 7 November 1977, peaking at number 2 on the Kent Music Report Singles Chart and staying on the chart for 22 weeks. It also reached number 9 on the New Zealand singles chart. The b-side of the single, a non-album track called "Telephone", was credited to "Dr. Agony".

The Angels' Greatest Vol. II is the second compilation album by Australian hard rock group, the Angels, which was released in November 1985 via Epic Records. It peaked at No. 38 on the Kent Music Report Albums Chart. It includes "No Secrets", "Watch the Red" and "Into the Heat". The album was re-released in 1998 by Shock Records as No Secrets.

Live is a live album by Australian soul and funk band Dynamic Hepnotics, released in December 1984. The album charted at number 66 on the Australian Kent Music Report.

The Numbers were an Australian power pop band formed by siblings Annalisse and Chris Morrow in early 1978. They issued two studio albums, The Numbers, which peaked at No. 29 on the Kent Music Report Albums Chart, and 39.51. The group disbanded in 1984, the Morrows formed another band, Maybe Dolls, in 1991.

<i>Screen Memory</i> (album) 1981 studio album by MEO 245

Screen Memory is the first and only studio album by Australian new wave band MEO 245. The album peaked at No. 69 on the Kent Music Report Albums Chart. It was produced by Peter Dawkins, with Dave Marett as audio engineer, at Studios 301, Sydney. According to Australian musicologist, Ian McFarlane, "[the] title was taken from A Critical Dictionary of Psychoanalysis and the record itself was full of English-influenced pop rock." The album provided two singles, "Other Places" and "Jewels " (October). For Screen Memory MEO 245's line-up was Paul Brickhill on keyboards and vocals; Mark Kellett on bass guitar; Campbell Laird on drum kit; and Paul Northam on vocals and guitar.
