Noorthoek Academy is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a college education program in the arts and sciences for students with mental impairments. Noorthoek was founded in 1989 and named after Joseph Noorthoek, a former member of the board of education for Grand Rapids Public Schools whom the academy decided to recognize for his leadership and understanding. The academy is partnered with Grand Rapids Community College and offers its students the opportunity to earn continuing education unit credits for each semester they complete. Admission is offered to students based on their maturity, motivation, and behavior, as well as their estimated benefit from the curriculum; students who are accepted may attend as many semesters as they desire.
Noorthoek's curriculum is designed to facilitate exploration of the natural sciences, history, literature, drama, music, current events, and creative writing, among others. These presentations are designed for students classified as educable mentally impaired (EMI). The academy attempts to supplement its curriculum via community resources, such as local museums, theaters, and libraries. [1] [2]
John Carroll University (JCU) is a private Jesuit university in University Heights, Ohio. Located in a suburb of Cleveland, it is primarily an undergraduate-focused, liberal arts institution composed of a College of Arts and Sciences and business school. JCU has an enrollment of 3,650 students. Founded in 1886 as St. Ignatius College, it was named after St. Ignatius of Loyola and in 1923 renamed after John Carroll.
Ferris State University is a public university with its main campus in Big Rapids, Michigan. It was founded in 1884 as Big Rapids Industrial School by Woodbridge N. Ferris and became a public institution in 1950. The university also has a satellite campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Grand Valley State University is a public university in Allendale, Michigan. It was established in 1960 as Grand Valley State College. Its main campus is situated on 1,322 acres (5.35 km2) approximately 12 miles (19 km) west of Grand Rapids. The university also features campuses in Grand Rapids and Holland and regional centers in Battle Creek, Detroit, Muskegon, and Traverse City.
Hope College is a private Christian liberal arts college in Holland, Michigan. It was originally opened in 1851 as the Pioneer School by Dutch immigrants four years after the community was first settled. The first freshman college class matriculated in 1862 and Hope received its state charter in 1866. Hope College is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America and retains a Christian atmosphere. Its 120 acres (0.19 sq mi) campus is adjacent to the downtown commercial district and has been shared with Western Theological Seminary since 1884. The Hope College campus, considered uniquely beautiful by many, is located near the eastern shores of Lake Michigan and is 2.5 hours away from two major cities in Chicago and Detroit.
The Joint University Programmes Admissions System, or commonly known as JUPAS (聯招), designed by Dr Gregory Chan Hin Fai, is a unified system for applying for full-time undergraduate programmes in Hong Kong. In 2017 admission, all government funded degrees and sub-degrees provided by University Grants Committee (UGC) member institutions, and most of other full-time degrees provided by institutions in Hong Kong are under the application system in JUPAS.

Dearborn Center for Math, Science and Technology (DCMST) is a specialized secondary education center with a four-year advanced, research based, science and math curriculum located in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. The school was founded in 2001, with its first graduating class in 2005. Most of the school is located in the Henry Ford Community College building, but some of the Michael Berry Career Center (MBCC) building is also used by DCMST. About 75 students are selected each year from the three high schools in the Dearborn City School District. Once in the program, students are committed for four years. In freshman and sophomore year, students attend their three classes at DCMST in the afternoon from 11:15 to 1:55. Juniors and seniors attend in the morning from 7:35 to 10:15. The other three hours are spent at student's home school. DCMST is a member of the NCSSSMST, an alliance of specialized high schools in the United States whose focus is advanced preparatory studies in mathematics, science and technology. The school is also accredited by the North Central Association (NCA) as all other Dearborn Public Schools are.
Rosary High School was established in 1962 by the Dominican Sisters of Springfield, Illinois as a private, all-girls, college-preparatory, Roman Catholic, high school located in Aurora, Illinois. It is ranked as one of the top private schools in the state of Illinois as students achieve on average 5 points higher on the ACT and 43 points higher on the SAT. In addition, Rosary offers 22 various clubs and organizations and 13 sports teams. There is a very high participation rate where 82% of the student body plays in sports with an average GPA of 3.47. Because many of the sports teams reach sectional and state finals, 12 NCAA scholarships are awarded on average each year. Currently, one of Rosary's swimmers, Alexis Yager, has qualified for the Olympic Trials in 3 events. The Beads, Rosary's swim team, has won the Illinois state swim title for six years. The Beads have also been runner-up for the title four times and have placed third four times.

Davis Aerospace Technical High School at Golightly Career and Tech Center is a senior high school in Detroit, Michigan, in the Golightly Career and Tech Center. A part of Detroit Public Schools, it has an aviation curriculum certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in addition to its standard academic program. The school, named after Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., is one of two Michigan high schools, and one of a few American high schools, to offer such a program.
Rav Teitz Mesivta Academy, commonly known as RTMA or JEC High School, is a Yeshiva high school located in Elizabeth, New Jersey and a branch of the Jewish Educational Center. Founded in 1955 by Rabbi Pinchas Mordechai Teitz, RTMA adheres to the tenets and practices of Orthodox Judaism. It is one of the country's earliest and leading Modern Orthodox Yeshiva high schools. RTMA's dual curriculum offers courses in Torah studies, as well as college preparatory academics. Most of its students reside in the Orthodox Jewish communities of New Jersey and New York. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Secondary Schools since 2008 and is accredited until January 2024.
Wellspring Preparatory High School, commonly shortened to Wellspring Prep is a charter high school located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Wellsprings Preparatory High School is a comprehensive high school serving 9th–12th grades. It has 430 students. The school was opened in 2010. As of late 2020, the school is now owned and operated by National Heritage Academies. The schools maximum capacity is 600 students.
