Norman Nyagah (born September 15, 1950) is son of Jeremiah Nyagah and brother to former presidential candidate Joseph Nyagah. He is a former member of Kenyan parliament. He was also the chief whip in parliament and he has represented Gachoka Constituency (1997-2002) and formerly Kamukunji Constituency (2002-2007) for the National Rainbow Coalition (NARC) party. During the nominations of PNU for the elections of 2007, Nyagah lost to Simon Mbugua nominations and defected to a small party headed by Kalembe Ndile called T.I.P The Independent Party of Kenya

Embu is a municipality located approximately 125 kilometres (78 mi) northeast of Nairobi towards Mount Kenya. Embu served as the provincial capital of the former Eastern Province and currently serves as the headquarters of the Eastern Region in Kenya. It is also the county headquarters of Embu County. Located on the south-eastern foothills of Mount Kenya, the Municipality of Embu had a population of 64,979 in 2019 census. It is the commercial hub of the Central Eastern part of Kenya and provides an avenue for trade, tourism and highway transit between the national capital and the Northern Frontier.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is a centre-left political party in Kenya. It is the successor of a grassroots people's movement which was formed during the 2005 Kenyan constitutional referendum campaign. This movement separated in August 2007 into the Orange Democratic Movement Party of Kenya and the Wiper Democratic Movement – Kenya.
Jeremiah J.M. Nyagah was a Kenyan politician who served in several capacities.
The Party of National Unity (PNU) is a political party in Kenya originally founded as a political coalition. On 16 September 2007, Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki announced the party formation and said that he would run as its presidential candidate in the December 2007 Kenyan elections. It has since become a political party in its own right following conditions set by the Political Parties Act, passed in Kenya in 2008. Recently PNU has launched activities to revamp itself ahead of the 2022 general elections.

James Omingo Magara is a Kenyan politician. He belongs to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and was the MP for South Mugirango Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya up till 2009. He first won the seat in the by-elections in 2001 on Ford-Kenya ticket, replacing his brother Enoch Nyakieya Magara of Ford-Kenya, who had died in a car accident. He retained the seat at the 2002 elections, but now representing Ford-People, and in the 2007 elections representing ODM. He was the assistant minister of trade until December 2009 the High court of Kenya declared the South Mugirango parliamentary seat vacant due to irregularities in the election process, although Magara himself was not found guilty of any rigging. Subsequent South Mugirango by-election was held in June 2010. Magara decamped to the little-known People's Democratic Party (PDP) after being denied ODM's nomination apparently because he had fallen out of favour with party leader Raila Odinga. The by-election was won by Manson Nyamweya of Ford-People, who beat Magara and Ibrahim Ochoi of ODM. In 2013,Omingo Magara Vied for Kisii Senatorial seat where he came far 3rd as Chris Obure worn in the fiercely contest elections
Isaac Kiprono Ruto( Born on 4th March 1959 ) is a Kenyan politician. He is the Chama Cha Mashinani Party leader. He was elected the first Governor of Bomet County in 2013 Kenyan General elections. He hails from Tumoi, Sigor in Chepalungu constituency and studied political science at the University of Nairobi. He is also a former Chairman of the Council of Governors in Kenya.

Bernard Mate was a Kenyan politician and one of the first group of Africans to be elected to the Kenya Legislative Council (LegCo), the then legislative arm of government in the British Colony of Kenya, representing what was the black constituency of Central Kenya. He served three terms in Kenya's Parliament until he lost his seat in 1979. He died on 6 January 1994, after a short illness. As a politician, he was part of the KADU's delegation to Kenya's Lancaster House Constitutional conferences. He was described by Oginga Odinga as a being a philosopher.
Reverend Moses Akaranga is a Kenyan politician who served as the first governor of Vihiga county having been defeated by Dr. Wilberforce Ottichilo in August 2017. He is also former Member of parliament for Sabatia constituency, having defeated Musalia Mudavadi of KANU from the Sabatia Constituency seat in the 2002 elections on a Ford-Kenya ticket. He served only one term and was defeated by Mudavadi, who was now representing Orange Democratic Movement at the 2007 elections.

North Mugirango is one of four constituencies in Nyamira County, Kenya, currently being led by a member of parliament by the name of Joash Nyamoko, aligned to the UDA party, even though he was elected on the Ruling Jubilee Party ticket. In 2019 the population was 191,700 with 89092 voters registered for the 2022 election. In 1966 the North Mugirango Constituency was split into West Mugirango and a smaller North Mugirango. The name was changed to Borabu / North Mugirango in 1974. In 1987 the name changed back to North Mugirango and was finally changed to North Mugirango / Borabu in 1986. The wards consist of North Mugirango Chache, Bomwgamo, Ekerenyo, Kiabonyoru, Kiangeni, Makenene, Nyansiongo, Esise. From 2002 to 2007 Godfrey Okeri Masanya was the elected member. The Current Member of Parliament is Joash Nyamoko of Jubilee Party. In the next election scheduled for August 2022, Nyamoko faces a strong competition from worthy opponents, including Nathaniel Mong'are, Ombui, and Esimba ya'Bonyunyu. Ever since the start of Multiparty democracy in 1992, no member of parliament has been reelected.

They were the first elections held under the new constitution, which was approved in a 2010 referendum, and were also the first run by the new Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). Peter Njeru Ndwiga is a Kenyan politician. He is currently the Senator for Embu County and the chairman of the Agriculture and Livestock Committee of the Senate. He was minister for the Co-operative Development and Marketing in Kenya and a former member of parliament for the Manyatta Constituency and Runyenjes Constituency. He was member of parliament for Manyatta Constituency which is now in Embu County on Party of National Unity ticket between 2002 and 2007. Prior to this he was the member of parliament for Runyenjes Constituency between 1992 and 1997 and then the member of parliament for the newly created Manyatta Constituency between 1998 and 2001.
Stanley Nyagah (1936–2005), nicknamed Kĩthũng'a. was a Kenyan educationist, civil servant, technocrat and, entrepreneur who, between 1983 -1988, served as Member of Parliament for Embu North constituency, now split into Runyenjes constituency and Manyatta constituency. His campaign symbol was a key (rũvungoro). The key symbolized the opening up of hitherto inaccessible public resources to the masses. While in parliament, he served on the public investments committee.
Joseph Wathigo Manje is a Kenyan politician, a teacher, and an entrepreneur, and currently the Member of Parliament for Kajiado North Constituency in Kajiado County. He is a member of the ruling Jubilee Party under President Uhuru Kenyatta. He previously served as a Commissioner at the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) as well as the Electoral Commission of Kenya's (ECK) South Rift Presidential Election Zonal Coordinator. He also served as a teacher employed by Kenya's Teachers Service Commission. He has business interests in the leather and construction industries.
