The Potomac River is located within the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States and flows from the Potomac Highlands into the Chesapeake Bay. The river is approximately 405 miles (652 km) long, with a drainage area of about 14,700 square miles (38,000 km2). In terms of area, this makes the Potomac River the fourth largest river along the Atlantic coast of the United States and the 21st largest in the United States. Over 5 million people live within the Potomac watershed.
The Kalamazoo River is a river in the U.S. state of Michigan. The river is 130 miles (210 km) long from the junction of its North and South branches to its mouth at Lake Michigan, with a total length extending to 178 miles (286 km) when one includes the South Branch. The river's watershed drains an area of approximately 2,020 square miles (5,200 km2) and drains portions of eight counties in southwest Michigan: Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Jackson, Hillsdale, Kent and Ottawa. The river has a median flow of 1,863 cubic feet per second (52.8 m3/s) at New Richmond, upstream from its mouth at Saugatuck.
The Magothy River runs 12.1 miles (19.5 km) through Anne Arundel County in the U.S. state of Maryland. It is located south of the Patapsco River and north of the Severn River. There are two public park paddling access points, Beachwood Park on the north shore a half mile east of the Magothy Bridge Road bridge, and Spriggs Farm Park off Bayberry Drive, on the south shore two miles west of the Magothy's mouth. Both are Anne Arundel County parks.

The North Branch Birch River is a 9.6-mile-long (15.4 km) river in Aroostook County, Maine, in the United States. From the outlet of a small pond in Maine Township 16, Range 8, WELS, it runs about 6 miles (10 km) east and about 3 miles (5 km) south to its confluence with the South Branch in the town of Eagle Lake to form the Birch River. It is part of the Fish River watershed, draining north to the Saint John River and ultimately southeast to the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, Canada.
The North Branch Blackwater River is a 6.4-mile-long (10.3 km) river in Squa Pan Township, Aroostook County, Maine. From its source, the stream runs west to its confluence with the South Branch to form the Blackwater River. Via the Blackwater River, St. Croix Stream, and the Aroostook River, the North Branch is part of the Saint John River watershed.

The North Branch Meduxnekeag River is a river in Aroostook County, Maine and Carleton County, New Brunswick. From the outlet of a small pond in Maine Township 8, Range 3, WELS, the river runs about 20 miles (30 km) northeast, south, and east to the Canada–United States border, crossing into Canada at 46°16′40″N67°46′56″W. It runs about 4 miles (6 km) southeast to its confluence with the Meduxnekeag River in Wakefield, NB.
The South Branch Marsh River is a 3.0-mile-long (4.8 km) tidal river in the towns of Prospect and Frankfort in Waldo County, Maine. It joins the North Branch Marsh River to form Marsh Bay, a short arm of the tidal Penobscot River.
The South Branch Sunday River is a 2.5-mile-long (4.0 km) mountain stream in western Maine. It is a tributary of the Sunday River, which flows to the Androscoggin River and ultimately to the Kennebec River and the Atlantic Ocean.
The Feather Headwaters are 3 watersheds totaling 3,450 sq mi (8,900 km2) and which drain to Lake Oroville. The North Fork Feather Watershed is 1,090 sq mi (2,800 km2)—including the West Branch drainage of about 282.5 sq mi (732 km2). The East Branch North Fork Feather Watershed is 1,010 sq mi (2,600 km2), and the Middle Fork Feather Watershed is 1,350 sq mi (3,500 km2)—including the South Fork drainage of about 132 sq mi (340 km2). Headwaters drainage is impaired by the Palermo Canal at Oroville Dam, the Hendricks Canal at the West Branch Feather River, and the Miners Ranch Canal at the South Fork's Ponderosa Reservoir. Additionally, the Pacific Gas and Electric Company releases Upper Feather water into the Hyatt Generating-Pumping Plant for hydroelectric generation during daily peak demand.
