The school from 2009 to 2010 underwent controversial reconstruction of its facility, making it one of the largest and most expensive high schools ever built in the United States, with a price tag of nearly US$200 million. Terre Haute North Vigo High School, also known as Terre Haute North (THN), is a public high school located in Terre Haute, Indiana.
The North Newton Senior-Junior High School is located in McClellan Township, Newton County, Indiana. The school system covers a large area of about 260 square miles (670 km2). It serves students in the towns of Lake Village, Mount Ayr, Roselawn, Sumava Resorts, Thayer and Morocco, Indiana. Presently there are about 1400 students in this mainly rural school corporation.
The Midwest Athletic Conference is a high school athletic conference in northwestern Indiana, which has existed in two different incarnations, with a third planned to form in 2018. The original conference began in 1932, consisting of schools that were larger than most of their counterparts in their local county leagues. The schools were based in Benton, Fountain, Jasper, Newton, Tippecanoe, Warren, and White counties. The forming of the Kankakee Valley Conference the next year caused a slight fluctuation over the next couple of years, as schools realigned themselves within the two leagues, with some schools claiming dual membership. The league folded in 1947, as size disparities and willingness to sponsor some sports led to schools going their separate ways.
The Lake Athletic Conference (LAC) was a high school athletic conference serving members of the Indiana High School Athletic Association. The LAC existed in multiple guises from the fall of 1969 through the spring of 2007, at which time it comprised sixteen member high schools. The conference took its name from all its early members being located in Lake County, Indiana, in addition to the predecessing Lake 10 Conference, of which many schools were members before expansion increased the number of schools in the conference.
Steve Newton is an American basketball coach. He was men's head coach at Murray State University from 1985 to 1991 and at University of South Carolina from 1991–1993. A native of Terre Haute, Indiana, he was a player at Indiana State University from 1960–1963. A graduate of Terre Haute's Gerstmeyer Tech, he played high school basketball for the legendary Howard Sharpe, the winningest coach in Indiana high school basketball.

The Sangamon Valley Conference was an IHSA-sanctioned conference in northeastern Illinois established in 1948. The conference hosts primarily 1A-2A schools. It was the first Illinois conference to host an Indiana high school, as South Newton of Kentland, Indiana played from 2015 to 2018 to rejoin the Midwest Athletic Conference. Following the 2020-21 school year the conference disbanded.
South Newton High School is a multi-community high school consisting of grades 9-12 located in rural Newton County, between the incorporated towns of Kentland, Brook, and Goodland, Indiana. The Elementary and Middle School facilities are located adjacent to the high school.
