Northants Baseball Club is a baseball club based in Northampton. It is home of the Northants Centurions, otherwise known as Northampton Centurions or The Centurions. Founded in 2013, the team has played its home matches and trained at St Crispins' Park, Duston, since 2017. [1]
Northants Baseball Club was founded in 2013 and plays competitively in the British Baseball Federation's East of England Baseball League. It has developed many players during that time, including youngsters who have represented Team GB. [2]
Northants Centurions became the East of England Baseball League champions in 2024, the team's first title in eight years, qualifying for the British Baseball Federation A post-season. [3]
Due to an increase in members, the Club announced plans to include a second line up in the EEBL, Northants Centurions 'Maroon', with a focus on player development.
The Development Squad, established for the start of the 2025 season, was created with the purpose of helping new players and those with less experience, develop their own skills as well as act as a link and a traditional stepping stone between the Youth Squad and adult players. The development team plays in its own league with other development teams.
Northants Baseball Club also has a youth squad called Mini Centurions aimed at younger players aged 4–14. [4]
