The Norwegian Medical Association is the main Norwegian medical association and trade union, and was founded in 1886. It has 32 555 members or about 96% of all Norwegian doctors. Anne Karin Rime became president in 2021. It is affiliated with the Federation of Norwegian Professional Associations. The association publishes the Journal of the Norwegian Medical Association, established in 1881.

Per Roger Lauritzen is Norwegian non-fiction writer. He hails from Asker. He has worked as an editor for the Norwegian Trekking Association for more than thirty years, and has published more than fifty books. He was awarded Den norske friluftslivprisen in 2007, jointly with Leif Ryvarden.
Constance Wiel Schram was a Norwegian writer and translator. She was the daughter of William Martin Nygaard (1865–1912) and Constance Wiel (1866–1931). Constance was the eldest of seven siblings, one of her brothers was the publisher, Mads Wiel Nygaard. She married Finn Thomas Andreas Schram on 26 Jul 1912, and they had a son, Andreas.
