Ntokozo Mbuli

Ntokozo Mbuli is a South African television producer and presenter. [1] [2] [3] [4] and an entrepreneur. [5] She is the creator of medical drama series Vutha, [6] [7] which first aired on SABC 2 in 2020, followed by a run on Amazon Prime Video in 2022 and 2023. [8] She is most renowned for her work in conservation storytelling [9] [10] in television and film, and for presenting and producing the South African Broadcasting Corporation's flagship wildlife and environment show 50/50 [11] [12] [13] one of the longest-running television programmes. [2] She was the executive producer of SABC police drama, The Docket, as well as E.tv telenovelas Ashes 2 Ashes and Broken Vows, under the production company Clive Morris Productions.

The South African newspaper publication Mail & Guardian named her as one of 200 Young South Africans in 2013. In 2014 she was a nominee in the ATKV Mediaveertjies (Media Awards) for Best Presenter of a factual programme. The South African Film and Television Awards nominated her for a Golden Horn in the best TV Presenter category in 2018. [14] She also received a National Heritage Council Golden Shield Heritage Award for heritage education in 2022. [15] [16]

She was elected as a member of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2022 [17] and has been on the jury of the International Emmy Awards in 2017, 2021, 2022 and 2023. [18] The awards are hosted by the Academy.

The National Geographic Society conferred her with the title of National Geographic Explorer in 2022. In the same year she was admitted into the transnational network of individuals who seek to uncover the root causes of anti-black racism, called the Atlantic Fellows for Racial Equity, based at the Columbia University in New York City. [19]

She founded the South African television and film production company, Sugar Bean Pictures, which produced the SABC2 hybrid nature+culture factual series, Imvelogy [20] and the religious docu-reality series Ichibi Lendumiso. [21] She is a board member for the Lapalala Wilderness School. [22] Her work in conservation has been recognised and lauded by the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa. [23]

The Big Debate South Africa is a South African television debate series with a focus on pertinent contemporary political topics to South Africa. It is conducted in a "town hall debate" style with the presenter, Siki Mgabadeli, interviewing key guests, asking questions, and moderating the subsequent debate. It began running in 2009 and was devised by filmmaker Ben Cashdan. The show is produced by Broad Daylight Films Foundation, a non-profit production company, based in Johannesburg.

Thuso Nokwanda Mbedu is a South African actress. She rose to prominence for her performance in the South African teen drama series Is'Thunzi for which she was nominated consecutively for an International Emmy in 2017 and 2018. Mbedu later appeared on the 2018 Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list.

Katlego Moswane Maboe is a South African TV presenter, singer-songwriter and accountant. He was consecutively awarded Best TV Presenter at the South African Film and Television Awards in 2015 and 2016. He is also known for hosting the morning talk show Expresso on SABC 3 since its inception in 2010.

Elma Postma is a South African actress and presenter. She is best known for her acting roles on 7de Laan, Binnelanders and Isidingo. As a presenter, she's most recognised for presenting the first few seasons of the South African version of Farmer Wants a Wife.

Salamina Mphelo Mosese, is a South African actress, producer, announcer and television personality. She is best known for the role "Nthabiseng Masilo" in the television serial 7de Laan.

Mila Guy, is a South African actress and costume designer. She is best known for her role as "Malanie Schmit" in the kykNet television series Hotel and her critically acclaimed role as "Nonnie Blignout" in the film Liewe Kersfeesvader. she is married to Ben fourie.

Hanli Rolfes is a South African actress and writer. She is best known for her roles in the series Getroud met rugby, Kruispad and Generations.

Nqobile Sipamla, is a South African actress, singer and business woman. She is best known for her roles in the television series Abo Mzala, MTV Shuga and Imbewu as thokozile.

Jana Strydom is a South African actress, television presenter, voice over artist and MC. She is best known for the roles in the television serials such as; 7de Laan, Egoli: Place of Gold, Swartwater, Erfsondes and Arendsvlei.

Kim Cloete is a South African actress, television presenter, singer, dancer, MC and businesswoman. She is best known for the roles in the television serials Binnelanders, Isidingo, and Wild at Heart.

Meme Ditshego, is a South African actress. She is best known for the roles in the television serials such as; Ga Re Dumele and The Coconuts.

Anele Mdoda is a South African television presenter, radio personality, producer, businesswoman and author. Born and raised in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, Mdoda obtained a degree in Politics and International Relations at the University of Pretoria, her career began at the age of 20 in 2004 as a radio DJ.

Sonia Mbele is a South African actress, model, tv producer and entrepreneur. She produced the first ever Real Housewives franchise in Africa, and is the executive producer for Real Housewives of Johannesburg.
