Nuestra Belleza El Salvador 2012 took place on April 27, 2012 at the Hotel Royal Decameron in Salinitas, Sonsonate. [2] Nuestra Belleza Universo 2011, Alejandra Ochoa and Nuestra Belleza Mundo 2011 crowned their perspective successors at the end of the event. The co winners will represent El Salvador at Miss Universe 2012, Miss World 2012 and Miss Continente Americano 2012. Also the overall winner, "Nuestra Belleza Universo 2012" will take home even more prizes than years before, including a brand new Honda car. [3]
For the first time ever, the national preliminary castings took place live on the internet on the official website. The finalists were selected from 164 applicants who were presented to the three day casting made in the forum 4 of TCS in late January, early February judged by Raul Dominguez, Executive Producer of the event, Diana Rivera, head image of TCS and person in charge of the Miss Universe & Miss World franchise, and Tony Melara, runway model instructor. Both the opinion of the jury and public votes cast online were also taken into account in the selection of the 17 finalists.

The Mexicana Universal is a national beauty pageant in Mexico held annually since 2018, replacing the former pageant, Nuestra Belleza México, held since 1994. Currently, the pageant is responsible for selecting the country's delegates to Miss International, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Charm, Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal, and Miss Orb International. The current Mexicana Universal is Melissa Flores of Michoacán, who represented Mexico at Miss Universe 2023 but was unplaced.
The Miss Spain is a national beauty pageant in Spain that selects Spanish representatives to compete in three of the big four major international beauty pageants: the Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss International competitions.
The Señorita Panamá is a national beauty pageant in Panama. As of the 2024 edition, Señorita Panamá winners represent Panamá in Miss Universe and Miss International. The Miss Panama brand started in 1952, when the Panamanian Institute of Tourism received an invitation from Miss Universe to send a representative. In 1975, the Señorita Panamá name was used for the first time, reverting to Miss Panama in 1976. Nuestra Belleza México 2008, the 15th annual Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Arena Monterrey of Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico on September 20, 2008. Thirty-three contestants competed for the national title, which was won by Karla Carrillo from Jalisco, who later competed in Miss Universe 2009 in The Bahamas. Carrillo was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Elisa Nájera. She was the second Jalisciense to win this Title.
Nuestra Belleza México 2006, the 13th Nuestra Belleza México beauty pageant, was held at the Espacio Cultural Metropolitano of Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico on September 2, 2006. Thirty contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Rosa Maria Ojeda from Sinaloa, who later competed in Miss Universe 2007 in Mexico where she was a Semifinalist in the Top 10. Ojeda was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Priscila Perales. She was the second Sinaloan to win this title.
Mexicana Universal Jalisco is a pageant in Jalisco, Mexico, that selects that state's representative for the national Mexicana Universal pageant. Jalisco is considered one of the strongest states in Mexican pageantry, as they are almost always among the finalists.

Thirty-two contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Rebeca Tamez from Tamaulipas, who later competed at Miss Universe 1997 in the US. Tamez was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Vanessa Guzmán and Miss Universe 1996 Alicia Machado from Venezuela. She was the first Tamaulipeca and winner of foreign descent to win this title.

Thirty-five contestants from Mexico competed for the national title, which was won by Cynthia Duque from Nuevo León, who later competed in Miss Universe 2013 in Russia. Duque was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Karina González. She is the fourth Neoleonesa to win this title.

Miss World 2015, the 65th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 19 December 2015 at the outdoor arena of the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. 114 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Rolene Strauss of South Africa crowned her successor Mireia Lalaguna of Spain at the end of the event. It was the first time in the history of Miss World that Spain won the pageant.
Miss World 2016, the 66th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 18 December 2016, at the MGM National Harbor, Oxon Hill, Maryland, United States. 117 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Mireia Lalaguna of Spain crowned her successor Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico at the end of the event. It was the second time that the Miss World pageant held in the United States. It was the second time where Puerto Rico won Miss World, after Wilnelia Merced in 1975.
