NUFAN is a UK-based Community benefit society identified with facilitating fan ownership of the football club AFC Crewe. The organisation made headlines on numerous fronts in the months following its foundation, having been discussed on multiple BBC radio segments [1] including an interview with one of the chairmen regarding a humorous "contract offer" made to Portuguese international player Cristiano Ronaldo. [2] The organisation offered a place on the AFC Crewe board for anyone who won the Premier League with them on the computer game Football Manager in 2024. [3]

Formed in 2022, the organisation vetted a number of clubs in the lower divisions of English non-league football before acquiring AFC Crewe - a club at the time having finished bottom of the Crewe and District league in the season prior to acquisition by NUFAN. [4]

In their first season owned by NUFAN, AFC Crewe were promoted from the Crewe and District league as league champions. Progressing to the Staffordshire County Senior League Division One for the 2023-24 season, where again the club were promoted as champions. [5] AFC Crewe would go on to establish a women's team in 2023-24 under NUFAN ownership. [6]
