Nykken is a symphonic poem composed by the Norwegian composer Geirr Tveitt in 1957. [1]
It is written for orchestra and several solo instruments, although they do not have any solo roles. It was written on demand for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) and survived a fire in 1970 by being kept safe in their archives.
It is built on a Norwegian legend about the sea-creature nøkken , and is based on a story about him transforming into a beautiful, white horse and getting out of a silent pond. The horse lures a young boy onto its back and takes him with it back into the pond, generating a great disturbance in the normally so silent water. A normal performance lasts about 16–18 minutes.
Nykken (Norwegian) or Näcken (Swedish), originating from Old Norse, is a spirit said to exist along the borders of water and land. People would often say prayers to the Nykken before swimming so that no harm would come to them.

Burn Out at the Hydrogen Bar is the debut studio album of industrial rock band Chemlab, released on March 22, 1993, by Fifth Colvmn and Metal Blade Records. It represents the band's only studio release via the label Metal Blade and was reissued by Invisible Records on November 30, 1999. Each "suture" is an instrumental piece splitting the main tracks apart. The track "Suicide Jag" was featured in the game Saints Row: The Third. The album was produced by Jeff "Critter" Newell and has been considered by critics to be a defining moment within the coldwave genre. In 2018 Chemlab embarked on a tour featuring Dead on TV and GoFight members Daniel Evans, Vince McAley, and Mike Love backing Louche to celebrate the twenty fifth anniversary of the Burn Out at the Hydrogen Bar. On June 18, 2021, a remaster of the album was released.
City High was an American R&B/hip hop trio consisting of Ryan Toby, Robbie Pardlo, and Claudette Ortiz. The group's sole studio album City High (2001), was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Their biggest hit, the Wyclef Jean-produced single "What Would You Do?", was a MTV staple, and earned them a nomination for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group at the 44th Annual Grammy Awards. Their 2001 single "Caramel" featuring rapper Eve peaked within the top twenty on the US Billboard Hot 100. City High disbanded shortly after.
Glam punk is a music genre that began in the early to mid-1970s and incorporates elements of proto-punk and glam rock. The genre was pioneered by the New York Dolls, who influenced the formation of other New York City groups the Stilettos, the Brats and Ruby and the Rednecks and bands in the United Kingdom including Hollywood Brats and Jet.
