Kamal Haasan is an Indian actor, filmmaker, screenwriter, playback singer, television presenter, social activist and politician who works mainly in Tamil cinema. Besides Tamil, he has also appeared in some Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali films. Considered as one of the finest actors in Indian cinema, Haasan is also known for introducing many new film technologies and film making techniques to the Indian film industry. He has won numerous accolades, including Four National Film Awards, Nine Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, Four Nandi Awards, One Rashtrapati Award, Two Filmfare Awards and 17 Filmfare Awards South. Srikanth is an Indian actor known for his works predominantly in Tamil and Telugu films. He is credited as Sriram in Telugu films. He debuted in K. Balachander's tele serial Jannal – Marabu Kavithaigal (1999). His film debut was in the romantic film Roja Kootam (2002) and went on to star in more such films including April Maadhathil (2002), Parthiban Kanavu (2003) and Okariki Okaru (2003). He subsequently went on to portray action roles in Drohi (2010). In 2012, he starred in Nanban, the Tamil remake of 3 Idiots, directed by S. Shankar.
Asha Kelunni Nair, better known by her stage name Revathi, is an Indian actress and director, known for her works predominantly in Tamil and Malayalam cinema - in addition to Telugu, Hindi and Kannada films. She has won several accolades, including three National Film Awards, and six Filmfare Awards South. She has also won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in Bhoothakaalam (2022).
Virumaandi is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written, co-edited, produced, and directed by Kamal Haasan, who also performed in the title role. The cast also includes Pasupathy, Abhirami, Napoleon, Rohini, Shanmugarajan, and Nassar in pivotal roles. The film's score and soundtrack were composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Shiva is an Indian Tamil actor, comedian, radio jockey, and dialogue writer. He has featured in several Tamil language films. Prior to his acting career, Shiva worked as a radio jockey with Radio Mirchi. Acting mainly in comedy films, he rose to fame following his performances in the Venkat Prabhu directorials Chennai 600028 and Saroja, before also featuring in Thamizh Padam. His tenure with Radio Mirchi earned him the nickname Mirchi Shiva. He is called by fans as Agila Ulaga Superstar.
Helen Nelson, better known professionally by her stage name Oviya, is an Indian actress who works in the Tamil and Malayalam films. She made her breakthrough as an actress in Sarkunam's rural romantic comedy Kalavani (2010), before appearing in other films including Pandiraj's Marina (2012), Moodar Koodam (2013) and Madha Yaanai Koottam (2013). Oviya has also enjoyed box office success through her roles in Sundar C's Kalakalappu (2012) and the horror comedy Yaamirukka Bayamey (2014). In 2017, Oviya appeared on the reality series Bigg Boss Tamil 1.
Crane Manohar is an Indian actor who appears in Tamil films, mostly in comedy roles. He appeared in many Vadivelu and Vivek comedy tracks.
Muthina Kathirika is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language political satire film directed by Venkat Raghavan on his directorial debut and produced by Khushbu. A remake of the successful Malayalam film Vellimoonga (2014), the film stars Sundar C., Poonam Bajwa. Following the completion of Sundar's directorial commitments, the film began production in February 2016.
G. M. Sundar is an Indian actor and film producer who has acted in a number of Tamil films. He turned producer for the film Urumattram.
Kidaari is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language action-mystery film written and directed by Prasath Murugesan, starring Sasikumar and Nikhila Vimal in the lead roles. The film, which is also produced by Sasikumar, features Napoleon, Vela Ramamoorthy, Suja Varunee, O. A. K. Sundar, and Hareesh Peradi in supporting roles. Darbuka Siva composed the music, while S. R. Kathir handled the cinematography and Praveen Anthony handled the editing. This film released on 2 September 2016.
Saamy 2, is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Hari and produced by Shibu Thameens. It stars Vikram in a double role as a father and son, with Keerthy Suresh and Aishwarya Rajesh as the female leads, alongside Bobby Simha, Prabhu, and Soori in supporting roles.
Sketch is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Vijay Chandar and produced by Moving Frame. The film features Vikram and Tamannaah Bhatia in the leading roles for the first time, with Soori, Jangiri Madhumitha, Baburaj and R. K. Suresh among others portraying supporting roles. The film was released on 12 January 2018.
Karate Raja is an Indian actor who has worked in predominantly Tamil-language films. He made his breakthrough as an actor by playing a supporting role in Kamal Haasan's Virumaandi (2004), before garnering acclaim for playing the lead role of Veerappan in the serial Sandhan Kaadu on Makkal TV.
Sai Dheena is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films since 2004. He played the antagonist in Attu (2017), Thimiru Pudichavan (2018) and Vaandu (2019). He is a frequent collaborator with Atlee.
Rocky: The Revenge also simply known as Rocky is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language crime thriller film written and directed by Bollywood filmmaker K. C. Bokadia in his Tamil directorial debut. The film stars two German Shepherd dogs as central titular characters with Srikanth and Eshanya Maheshwari. The film's story is loosely based on the 1985 film Teri Meherbaniyan which is itself remake of 1984 Kannada film Thaliya Bhagya. This film was partially re-shot in Telugu as Namaste Nestama.
O. A. K. Thevar (1924–1973) was an Indian actor. He acted in over 200 films and stage plays. He is known for his antagonistic roles. In 1955 he acted his debut movie Maman Magal. His notable movie are Mahadhevi, Thaikkupin Tharam, Uthama Puthiran, Veerapandiya Kattabomman, Karnan.
Hari Krishnan is an Indian actor who works in Tamil-language films. He is known for his role in Madras (2014).
Saran Shakthi is an Indian actor who primarily works in Tamil films. He made his film debut as a child artist in Kadal (2013). Saran was a contestant in the television reality show Survivor Tamil 1 and was announced as the runner-up of the season.
Rocky is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language neo-noir action film directed by Arun Matheswaran in his directorial debut, while it was produced by C. R. Manoj Kumar under RA Studios and distributed by Rowdy Pictures. It stars Vasanth Ravi, Bharathiraja and Raveena Ravi in the lead roles. The music was composed by Darbuka Siva, while the cinematography and editing were handled by Shreyaas Krishna and Nagooran Ramachandran.
