A ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Championship bout between current champion Tawanchai P.K.Saenchai and former ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon Singha Mawynn headlined the event. [2] The pairing was previously scheduled to headline at ONE Fight Night 15, but Superbon was forced to pulled out due to a leg injury. [3] The second was scheduled to headline at ONE Fight Night 17, but Tawanchai withdrew from the fight due to being hospitalized with a viral infection. [4]
A ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Championship title unification bout between current champion Joseph Lasiri and former champion/current interim title holder Prajanchai P.K.Saenchai took place at the event. [5] The pairing previously met at ONE 157, with Lasiri winning the title by TKO (retirement) in round three. [6]
