The Oakland Golden Grizzlies men's basketball statistical leaders are individual statistical leaders of the Oakland Golden Grizzlies men's basketball program in various categories, [1] including points, assists, blocks, rebounds, and steals. Within those areas, the lists identify single-game, single-season, and career leaders. The Golden Grizzlies represent Oakland University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Horizon League.

Contents

Oakland began competing in intercollegiate basketball in 1967. [1] The NCAA did not officially record assists as a stat until the 1983–84 season, and blocks and steals until the 1985–86 season, but Oakland's record books includes players in these stats before these seasons.

These lists are through the 2023–04 season.

The 2009–10 Oakland Golden Grizzlies men's basketball team were a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I college basketball team representing Oakland University. Oakland finished the season 26–9 overall, 17–1 in The Summit League and were the league's regular season and conference tournament champions. The Golden Grizzlies received The Summit League's automatic berth into the NCAA tournament and, as a No. 14 seed, lost to No. 3 Pittsburgh in the first round.

Reginald Lamont Hamilton, Jr. is an American professional basketball player. In 2011–12, his senior year at Oakland University, Hamilton averaged 26.2 points per game to lead all of NCAA Division I in scoring. He scored 2,188 points between his time spent at UMKC and Oakland.

Edward McCants is an American basketball player. He is best known for his All-American college career at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he led the Panthers to the school's first Sweet 16 appearance in the 2005 NCAA basketball tournament.

They finished the season 16–17, 11–5 in Horizon League play to finish in a tie for third place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Horizon League tournament to UIC. They were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they lost in the first round to Eastern Illinois.

They finished the season 23–12, 13–5 in Horizon League play to finish in a tie for second place. They lost in the semifinals of the Horizon League tournament to Wright State. They were invited to the inaugural Vegas 16 where they defeated Towson and East Tennessee State to advance to the championship game where they lost to Old Dominion.

The Golden Grizzlies, led by 39th-year head coach Greg Kampe, played their home games at the Athletics Center O'rena in Auburn Hills, Michigan as members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 13–18, 11–9 in Horizon League play to finish in fifth place. They were defeated by eventual tournament champions Northern Kentucky in the quarterfinal round of the Horizon League tournament.

Lawrence "Trey" Townsend is an American college basketball player for the Oakland Golden Grizzlies of the Horizon League.
