Oakmont is a borough in Allegheny County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It is a Pittsburgh suburb and part of the Pittsburgh Metro Area. The population was 6,426 in 2014.
Oakmont Country Club is a country club in the eastern United States, located in Plum and Oakmont, suburbs of Pittsburgh in western Pennsylvania. Established 116 years ago in 1903, its golf course is regarded as the "oldest top-ranked golf course in the United States." It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987. The Pennsylvania Turnpike separates seven holes (2–8) from the rest of the course.
Golf Digest is a monthly golf magazine published by Condé Nast Publications in the United States. It is a generalist golf publication covering recreational golf and men's and women's competitive golf. Condé Nast Publications also publishes the more specialized Golf for Women, Golf World and Golf World Business. The magazine started in 1950, and was sold to The New York Times Company in 1969. The Times company sold their magazine division to Condé Nast in 2001. The headquarters of Golf Digest is in Des Moines, Iowa.
Carolina Forest is an unincorporated community in Horry County, South Carolina, United States. It lies between Myrtle Beach and Conway in an area planned by International Paper in the late 1990s. Regarded as the "bedroom community" of Myrtle Beach, the planned unit development will have 20,000 single and multi-family homesites when completed. Most of the development follows the Carolina Forest Master Plan, developed cooperatively between International Paper and the Horry County Government.

Oakmont Regional High School is a public high school in New England, located in Ashburnham, Massachusetts. Its students come from both Ashburnham and neighboring Westminster which together comprise the regional School District. The building itself is in both Ashburnham and Westminster as the town line runs through the school. The superintendent of the district is Dr. Gary F. Mazzola. These towns, located in North Central Massachusetts, are considered rural/residential in character and are growth communities.

The purse was $5,000 and the winner's share was $1,000.
