Odie Leigh is an American indie folk musician from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. [1] Leigh is currently based in Detroit, Michigan. [2]

History

Leigh attended Loyola University New Orleans, where she studied film. [3] Leigh gained attention after her original song "Crop Circles" went viral on TikTok. [3] At the time of the recording of Crop Circles, Leigh was living with two hip hop musicians, and all three made a bet for who could make a viral song first. [3] Leigh released her debut EP, How Did It Seem To You, in 2022. [4] Leigh released her second EP, The Only Thing Worse Than A Woman Who Lies Is A Girl Who’ll Tell Truths, in 2023. [5] In 2024, Leigh announced her debut album. [6] The album, Carrier Pigeon , was released on July 12, 2024. [7] [8] The album was named one of "The best albums out July 12" from All Things Considered. [9] Leigh was named "The Best of What's Next" by Paste in 2024. [10]

"Mia Khalifa" (originally titled "Mia Khalifa (Diss)", also known as "Hit or Miss", and sometimes stylized as "MiA KHALiFA") is a song by American hip hop group iLoveFriday (stylized as iLOVEFRiDAY). The duo of Atlanta-based rappers Aqsa Malik (also known as Smoke Hijabi) and Xeno Carr self-released the song on February 12, 2018, which was later re-released by Records Co and Columbia Records on December 14, 2018. It was included on their second EP, Mood (2019). The song was produced by Carr. The song is a diss track targeting Mia Khalifa, a Lebanese-American Internet celebrity and former pornographic actress. The decision to write a song dissing Khalifa arose over a misunderstanding. A faked screenshot, intended as a joke, seemed to show Khalifa, who once appeared in a pornographic film wearing a hijab, criticizing Malik for smoking while wearing a hijab in a music video. iLoveFriday thought the screenshot was legitimate.

Ashnikko's debut mixtape, Demidevil, was released in January 2021, and spawned the singles "Daisy" and "Slumber Party". Her studio album, Weedkiller, came in 2023.

Tiny Habits is an American folk-pop group formed in Boston in 2022. The trio consists of Berklee College of Music students Cinya Khan and Maya Rae and alumnus Judah Mayowa. Their first EP, Tiny Things, was released in April 2023. Their debut album All For Something was released May 24th, 2024.

"Nasty" is a song by American singer and songwriter Tinashe. It was released on April 12, 2024, via producer Ricky Reed's Atlantic Records imprint Nice Life Recording Company, as the lead single from her seventh studio album, Quantum Baby, which was released in August 2024. A sexual R&B song written by Tinashe and Reed and produced by Zack Sekoff and Reed, it has a sparse beat and various innuendos, with Tinashe rap-singing in a deadpan tone about looking for a lover who has an equivalent sex drive to hers. Its release coincided with her performance at the 2024 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival and with the release of its music video.

Carrier Pigeon is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Odie Leigh. It was released on July 12, 2024, through Mom + Pop Music. Produced by Leigh with Derek Ted, the album has been noted as an evolution from Leigh's earlier, sparser folk style, with fuller instrumentation and a sound which Leigh describes as "going from acoustic to this kind of late '90s, early 2000s girl-rock thing."
