The Office of Manpower Economics (OME) is a non-statutory body set up to provide an independent Secretariat for each of the eight Pay Review Bodies. It is funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

Salary

A salary is a form of payment from an employer to an employee, which may be specified in an employment contract. From the point of view of running a business, salary can also be viewed as the cost of acquiring and retaining human resources for running operations, and is then termed personnel expense or salary expense. The Ōme Line is a railway line operated by East Japan Railway Company in western Tokyo, Japan. It links Tachikawa and the Chūō Line with the town of Okutama. Many Chūō Line trains operate via the Ōme Line to Ōme Station, providing non-stop service to Tokyo Station.

Paul Curran (geographer)

Sir Paul James Curran is president of City, University of London. He took up his post in August 2010. Following a period of significant progress, City joined the University of London federation in September 2016. He previously served as vice-chancellor of Bournemouth University (2005–10) and deputy vice-chancellor at the University of Southampton, where he is currently a visiting professor. As a member of the senior management team at Southampton, progressing from head of geography to dean of science, Curran was credited with high-profile leadership as head of the Winchester School of Art, part of the University of Southampton.

He is professor of economics and was previously the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nottingham, having succeeded Sir Colin Campbell on 1 October 2008. Executive agency

An executive agency is a part of a government department that is treated as managerially and budgetarily separate, to carry out some part of the executive functions of the United Kingdom government, Scottish Government, Welsh Government or Northern Ireland Executive. Executive agencies are "machinery of government" devices distinct both from non-ministerial government departments and non-departmental public bodies, each of which enjoy a real legal and constitutional separation from ministerial control. The Twenty-ninth Amendment of the Constitution Act 2011 is an amendment to the Constitution of Ireland which relaxes the previous prohibition on the reduction of the salaries of Irish judges. It was approved by a referendum on 27 October 2011 signed into law on 17 November 2011. It was held on the same day as a referendum on Oireachtas Inquiries, which was rejected, and the presidential election at which Michael D. Higgins was elected.

Salaries and Remuneration Commission

The Salaries and Remuneration Commission is a Kenya government Commission established under the Salaries & Remuneration Commission Act, 2011. Its independence is guaranteed in the Constitution of Kenya.

The Police Remuneration Review Body (PRRB) is a United Kingdom Review Body that makes independent recommendations on pay and terms and conditions of employment of the police in England and Wales to the Government. It is funded by the Home Office, and the Office of Manpower Economics provides the Board with an independent Secretariat. It replaced the Police Negotiating Board (PNB) on 1 October 2014, which remained active in Scotland.
