The Ohio Education Association (OEA) is a teachers union which serves as the largest such organization for educators in the American state of Ohio. The organization represents teachers, educational support professionals, counselors, curriculum specialists, librarians, health care workers, school nurses, school psychologists, vocational-technical instructors, higher education, students and retirees in the state of Ohio. As of 2018 it had 125,000 members.^[1] It serves as Ohio's branch organization for the National Education Association and mainly serves the smaller cities in the state, with the Ohio Federation of Teachers (representing the American Federation of Teachers) mainly serving Ohio's larger city school districts.

In the United States, a state is a constituent political entity, of which there are currently 50. Bound together in a political union, each state holds governmental jurisdiction over a separate and defined geographic territory and shares its sovereignty with the federal government. Due to this shared sovereignty, Americans are citizens both of the federal republic and of the state in which they reside. State citizenship and residency are flexible, and no government approval is required to move between states, except for persons restricted by certain types of court orders. Four states use the term commonwealth rather than state in their full official names.

Ohio is a Midwestern state in the Great Lakes region of the United States. Of the fifty states, it is the 34th largest by area, the seventh most populous, and the tenth most densely populated. The state's capital and largest city is Columbus.

OEA represents the labor, policy, and professional interests of its members. OEA bargains compensation and benefits, protects members’ rights, and advocates for their professions.

Remuneration is the pay or other compensation provided in exchange for an employee’s services performed. A number of complementary benefits in addition to pay are increasingly popular remuneration mechanisms. Remuneration is one component of reward management.

National FFA Organization is an American 501(c)(3) youth organization, specifically a career and technical student organization, based on middle and high school classes that promote and support agricultural education. It was founded in 1925 at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, by agriculture teachers, Henry C. Groseclose, Walter Newman, Edmund Magill and Harry Sanders as Future Farmers of Virginia. In 1928, it became a nationwide organization known as Future Farmers of America. Eric Ebersole is an American politician who serves as a Delegate to the Maryland General Assembly representing Maryland's 12th Legislative District, which encompasses portions of Baltimore and Howard Counties.

Cora Louise Boehringer was the first female superintendent of schools in Yuma County, Arizona and the first woman to be elected to office in the state. She has been called "the mother of the Arizona educational system". In 2008 she was inducted into the Arizona Women's Hall of Fame.
