Okey Uzoeshi // ( Loudspeaker.svg listen ) is a musician and an actor. He is known for his roles in Two Brides and a Baby, Blood in the Lagoon, Love and War, Something Wicked and Couple of Days. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Early life and education

He was born on April 8, 1983, in Imo State. He attended Birrel Avenue High School for his post primary education and attended Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri for his post secondary education [5]

Career

He started his career as a musician before he ventured into acting where he made his debut in a movie called Fatal Imagination. Since then, he has featured in several family and advocacy movies such as something Wicked, StrainCouple of Days and others. [3] [5]

Award and nominations

He has received nominations from the Best of Nollywood Awards (BON), Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards (GIAMA), and the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA). [5]

Two Weeks in Lagos, is a 2019 Nigerian comedy drama film directed by Kathryn Faseghaa dn co-produced by director herself with Sarah Inya Lawal. The film stars Mawuli Gavor and Beverly Naya in the lead roles whereas Joke Silva, Jide Kosoko, Toyin Abraham and Okey Uzoeshi made supportive roles. Dinner is a 2016 Nigerian comedy Film that is all about love, betrayal and forgiveness. It was produced by Jay Franklyn Jituboh and Chris Odeh. The executive producer of the film is David Jituboh. It was released November 11, 2016 and premiered at IMAX Cinema at Lekki. The premier of Dinner was sponsored by Amstel Malta and attended by celebrities in movie industry. Despite that the movie received mixed criticism, it is still one of the entertaining Nollywood movies.

Okey Ogunjiofor is a Nigerian Nollywood producer and actor known for co-pioneering the Nigeria movie industry with his film Living in Bondage in 1992. In 2022, his film Amina won the 2022 AMVCA for Best overall movie award category and became the first Nigerian film to be named on a global top ten Netflix list.
