Olav Berstad

Olav Berstad (born 19 September 1953) is a Norwegian diplomat.

He was born in Tromsø, and is a cand.mag. by education. He started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1980. After serving as sub-director from 1996 to 1998, he was the Norwegian ambassador to Azerbaijan from 1998 to 2001, [1] [2] [3] and to Ukraine from 2006 to 2011. Since May 2013 he has been the board chair of Tangen V home owner's association in Nesodden, Akershus, Norway. [4]

Olav Gunnar Ballo Norwegian politician

Olav Gunnar Ballo is a Norwegian former politician for the Socialist Left Party (SV). Ballo changed party to Arbeiderpartiet in 2011. Ballo was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Finnmark in 1997. He studied medicine at University of Würzburg, and has worked as a medical doctor. Ballo represented SV in Alta municipality council from 1991 to 1997. Ballo was the leader of the National Forensics Institute in Norway between 2009 and 2010/2011.

Geir Lundestad Norwegian historian (born 1945)

Geir Lundestad is a Norwegian historian, who until 2014 served as the director of the Norwegian Nobel Institute when Olav Njølstad took over. In this capacity, he also served as the secretary of the Norwegian Nobel Committee. However, he is not a member of the committee itself.

He was elected to the post of general secretary of the World Council of Churches on 27 August 2009. He entered office on 1 January 2010, for a proposed term of five years, and was re-elected to a second term in July 2014. He resigned from the post in March 2020, having been elected Preses of the Bishops' Conference of the Church of Norway.

Árni Þór Sigurðsson is an Icelandic diplomat. Since 1 June 2020 he is Iceland's Ambassador to the Russian Federation, resided on Moscow, also accredited to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. He was Iceland's Ambassador to Finland, also accredited to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine, resided in Helsinki, from 2018-2020. From 1 May 2015 he was Ambassador for Arctic affairs, representing Iceland in the Arctic Council. He was member of parliament of the Althing, the Icelandic parliament 2007–2014, for the Left-Green Movement. He was Deputy Speaker of the Althing from 2009 to 2010 and again 2012–2013. Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Althingi Feb. 2009 - April 2013. Chairman of the Parliamentary Delegation to EFTA/EEA 2009–2013. Co-Chairman of the Iceland-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee. He was a delegate to the Nordic Council 2010-2013 and Chairman of the Nordic Council's Standing Committee of Culture and Education. Árni Þór held a number of Parliamentary Committee posts, incl. on budget and finance, economy, environment, constitutional affairs, procedural affairs etc. He was chair, vicechair and acting chair of the Parliamentary Group 2009–2012.

Nils-Olav Johansen is a major Norwegian entertainer and jazz musician, known from several recordings and as orchestra leader. He is with Jarle Vespestad (drums) and Stian Carstensen, central members of the Balkan-jazz orchestra Farmers Market.
