Oldie Blues was a Dutch record label founded and owned by Martin van Olderen. [1]
The label was founded in 1974 and focused primarily on piano blues, boogie-woogie and Delta blues, issuing 46 LPs and 13 CDs. [2] After the death of Martin van Olderen in 2002 the label continued to issue records into 2004. Oldie Blues was marketed and distributed by Munich Records.
The label's roster included Little Willie Littlefield, Blind John Davis, Lonnie Johnson, Roosevelt Sykes, Big Joe Williams and Dutch musicians Rob Hoeke, Martijn Schok, and Rob Agerbeek.
James Edwards Yancey was an American boogie-woogie pianist, composer, and lyricist. One reviewer described him as "one of the pioneers of this raucous, rapid-fire, eight-to-the-bar piano style".

Littlefield was regarded as a teenage wonder and overnight sensation when in 1949, at the age of 18, he popularized the triplet piano style on his Modern Records debut single, "It's Midnight". He also recorded the first version of the song "Kansas City", in 1952.
HighTone Records was an American independent record label based in Oakland, California, United States. HighTone specialized in American roots music including, country, rockabilly, western swing, blues and gospel. The label was created by Larry Sloven and Bruce Bromberg in 1983. The label's first release that year was Bad Influence by bluesman Robert Cray. In 1984, the label released Frankie Lee's debut album, The Ladies and the Babies.
