Ole Ivars is a dansband, established 1964 [1] in Hamar, Norway. Their 1967 breakthrough came with the song Regnets rytme. Espen Hagen Olsen and William Kristoffersen are singers in the band, and William Kristoffersen also acts as a songwriter. Ole Ivars has won the Spellemannprisen awards several times, and in 2004, NRK labeled them as "Norway's dansband of all times". The band has received several cultural awards, and played in church buildings and concert halls throughout Norway
In 2007 the band had their first gold record, in Sweden, where they are mostly famous for the Kikki Danielsson duets "Jag trodde änglarna fanns" and "I mitt hjärta brinner lågan".
With the song Som i himmelen , the band participated at Melodi Grand Prix 2008, making it to the final, where the song was knocked out in the first round. In 2013 they contributed to the book "Think like a rockstar" Tenk som en rockestjerne, [2] written by Ståle Økland.
Bamses Venner was a Danish musical group that performed together from 1973 to 2011.

Lasse Stefanz is a Swedish dansband formed in Kristianstad in 1967. The band was popular during the 1980s. The band was formed by Hans Sigfridsson, Lars Sigfridsson and Olle Jönsson. Later members are Christer Ericsson, Anders Pettersson and Gunnar Nilsson. Olle Jönsson is the singer, as well as the ex-drummer. Lasse Stefanz had hits with songs as "Oh, Julie" (1982) and released albums as Peppelinos Bar (1988). 1989-1990, Lasse Stefanz and Christina Lindberg had a Svensktoppen hit with the song "De sista ljuva åren". In 1989, Lasse Stefanz was awarded a Grammis for "Dansband of the year".
Sven-Ingvars is a Swedish pop/rock group from Slottsbron, Sweden. The band was formed in 1956 by Sven Svärd (drums), Ingvar Karlsson, Sven-Erik Magnusson. Later the band were joined first by Rune Bergman on bass guitar and then by Sven-Olof Petersson on tenor and baritone saxophone. The group made their first EP as a quartet in the early 1960s. In the mid-1960s the group was popular in Sweden with hits such as "Te' dans me' Karlstatösera", "Ett litet rött paket", "Fröken Fräken", "Börja om från början", "Säj inte nej, säj kanske, kanske, kanske", "Vid din sida", Önskebrunnen and many others. They were so popular that in 1963, the opening act for the group was The Beatles.
Roosarna, also known as the Kjell Roos Band, is a dansband in Vallsta, Sweden. The band was formed in 1969 by the brothers Kjell, Anders and Sven-Åke as Bröderna Roos. In the mid-1970s they changed their name to Roosarna. Since 1975, it is a full-time playing band. In 1982, the band began to collaborate with Kikki Danielsson.

Jitterbug and foxtrot music are often included in this category. The music is primarily inspired by schlager, country, rock'n'roll and some swing. The main influence for rock-oriented bands is the rock music of the 1950s and 1960s.
I mitt hjärta is a compilation album from Kikki Danielsson, released in Norway in 1999 and in Sweden in 2002. Twelve of the songs were recorded with Roosarna between 1994-1997. The album also contains two tracks which were new back then, and "Jag trodde änglarna fanns" on the album was sung together with Norwegian dansband Ole Ivars, whose songwriter, bassist and second vocalist, William Kristoffersen, wrote the tracks.

Stiftelsen, meaning "the Foundation", is a Swedish pop rock band that features the vocals of Robert Pettersson, the lead singer of the Swedish pop-rock band Takida. Pettersson wanted to do projects different from the staple of Takida music. That's when he met Micke Eriksson, Arne Johansson and Martin Källström and they formed Stiftelsen in the summer of 2010. The band is signed to Universal Music Sweden and has a variety of musical influences from dansband and country. They had a hit in Sweden with their single "Vart jag än går", released on 30 May 2012.
Thorleifs was a Swedish dansband, formed in 1962 in Norrhult, Kronoberg County, Sweden and led by Thorleif Torstensson. The band sings in Swedish and many other languages, and released some albums in German. It also took part in Melodifestivalen 2009 with the song "Sweet Kissin' in the Moonlight" but did not proceed into the finals.
Titanix is a dansband, established in 1979 in Valdemarsvik, Sweden. The band appeared at the finals of the Swedish dansband championships in 1997 and 2001, before finishing up at the second place during Dansbandskampen 2009. During their 2009 Dansbandskampen appearance, it was mentioned that the band was not named after the boat RMS Titanic that sank in 1912, but rather an ice hockey stick.
Mats Bergmans is a dansband from Nyköping, Sweden, established in 1973 as Sjösa kustband, before a naming dispute made them change name to Sjösagrabbarna. The band became a full-time band in 1981, and changed name to Mats Bergmans in 1987.
Rolf Graf was a Norwegian singer, bass guitarist, composer and record producer, and the younger brother of keyboardist Haakon Graf and the jazz singer Randi Elisabeth Graf. He is best known as the bassist in the band Lava, but was also recognized as music producer, musician and songwriter for other artists like Randy Crawford, Mezzoforte and Sissel Kyrkjebø. Leif Bloms was a dansband in Växjö in Sweden. scoring chart successes at the Swedish album chart during the mid-late 1970s. On 31 December 1995 the band was disbanded after singing and playing together for almost 40 years. Starting with the 1981 album Håll dig kvar, the band's singer was Mona Gustafsson, who wrote the band's 1992 song "Dej ska jag älska all min tid" which won the 1992 Hänt song contest in Älvsjö. After the band was disbanded, Mona Gustafsson, Patrik Ahlm and René Saulesco founded another dansband, Mona G:s orkester.
Helene & gänget was a dansband in Kristianstad in Sweden, founded 1990 by members of the Färmarna dansband. The band broke through in 1995 with the album Segla din båt i hamn. The band broke up in 2002 and its singer Helene Persson begun acting as SR Kristianstad programme host.
