Oleg Zherebtsov (born 21 May 1968 [1] ) is a Russian businessman, founder of hypermarkets "Lenta" and "Norma", the European sailing champion in 2012 at 12 meters class, the founder of the Association SB20 in Russia, and General Director of the Pharmaceutical Company Solopharm.
Oleg was born in Bryansk, Russia.
Zherebtsov Oleg founded "Lenta" on 25 October 1993 in St. Petersburg. In 2007 were opened 10 hypermarkets (three of them in St. Petersburg), in 2008 — 8. By this time in Russia there were already 32 existing hypermarket. In May 2007 the European Bank for reconstruction and development with $125 million bought a share in "Lenta", estimated at 11–14% of the share capital. At the end of December 2008, the company "Lenta" was included in the list of companies that would receive state support during the economic crisis. In October 2009 Oleg Zherebtsov sold his part in "Lenta" to the consilium investment funds TPQ and VTB Capital.[ citation needed ]
Oleg Zherebtsov founded the company "Norma" in 2005. [1] In 2007, it opened its first store in St. Petersburg. In 2011 Oleg Zherebtsov sold his assets in the company "Norm".[ citation needed ]
In 2010 Oleg Zherebtsov created the company "Solopharm" [1] [2] for the production of pharmaceutical products.
Oleg Zherebtsov started sailing in 2007.[ citation needed ] In 2008 Zherebtsov participated in the Volvo Ocean Race, a race around the world, founding Team Russia [3] and serving as the pitman and second bowman. [4] Related to the Volvo Ocean Race, the Far East Russia Orca Project (co-founded by a member of the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society [5] which was the sponsor of Team Russia) named an Orca after Zherebtsov. [6]
In 2009 and 2010, he received first place in the championship of Russia in the national class Em-ka.[ citation needed ] In 2011, Zherebtsov took second place overall in the Laser SB3 Pre World Regatta with his fellow teammates Maria Rudskaia, Eugeni Didyk, [7] and Rodion Luka at the helm of the Team Russia boat. [8] Luka and Zherebtsov went on to take first place in the 2012 SB20 European Championships held in September [9] [10] with team mates with Anna Stepanova and Andre Klochko, [11] followed by 3rd place in the SB20 worlds 2012 held in December. The SB20 is a one-design class of sailboat commonly used for racing. Marketed and distributed by Sportsboat World the boat was designed by Tony Castro and launched in 2002.
Maria Vladimirovna Mukhortova is a Russian pair skater. With former partner Maxim Trankov, she is the 2008 European silver medalist, a five-time Grand Prix medalist, 2005 World Junior champion, 2004 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, and 2007 Russian national champion. In her early career, she competed with Egor Golovkin and Pavel Lebedev. She also competed one season with Jérôme Blanchard.
Larisa Yurievna Selezneva is a Russian former pair skater who represented the Soviet Union. With her husband Oleg Makarov, she is the 1984 Olympic bronze medalist, 1985 World silver medalist, 1988 World bronze medalist, and two-time European champion. They were coached by Igor Moskvin.

Team Russia was the name of the Russian backed entry in the 2008–09 Volvo Ocean Race. Team Russia was founded by Oleg Zherebtsov, the founder of the Lenta hypermarket chain in Russia. Zherebstov met former Olympic sailor and professional skipper, Andreas Hanakamp, by chance during a sailing holiday in Croatia. The CEO of Team Russia is Michael Woods, who was director of Race Operations for the 2001-02 race.
