Oliver Geissen (born 21 August 1969) is a German television presenter. He was born in Hamburg. From 1999 to 2009, he was talk show host in Die Oliver Geissen Show on German broadcaster RTL. He also presents the music show Die ultimative Chartshow on RTL.

He married twice. In 2009, he married German actress Christina Plate. He has three sons.

Deutschland sucht den Superstar is a German reality talent show. Part of the Idol franchise, it was created by British media mogul Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show Pop Idol, of which two series were broadcast between the years of 2001 and 2003. Debuting to mediocre ratings in November 2002 on the RTL network, the show has since become one of the most successful shows on German television.

Ruck Zuck is the German version of the short-lived U.S. game show Bruce Forsyth's Hot Streak. It premiered on January 11, 1988, and ended on October 20, 2000 and four years later it came back to Tele 5 on October 25, 2004 and ended on June 3, 2005. Like its American counterpart, the series was packaged by Reg Grundy's Worldwide television empire. During its 1988–2000 and 2004–2005 run, Tele 5, RTL II and tm3 in its original incarnation, ran the show. The show was revived on RTLplus from October 17, 2016 to December 8, 2017.

During the live-shows of season 13, it was announced that the castings for season 14 will start in August 2016. In late 2016, broadcaster RTL gave closer details to the changes of season 14. The sixteenth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar began on 5 January 2019 in RTL. Dieter Bohlen returned for his sixteenth series as a judge, while Oana Nechiti, Xavier Naidoo and Pietro Lombardi are the new judges. Oliver Geissen returned for his fifth series as host. The winner was the 20 years old Davin Herbrüggen.

I Can See Your Voice is a German television mystery music game show series based on the South Korean programme of the same name. Since the show's two-night pilot premiere on 18 and 19 August 2020, it has aired three seasons on RTL.

The eighteenth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar began on 5 January 2021 on RTL. the jury consisted of Dieter Bohlen only for audtitions and "Recalls" Mike Singer, Maite Kelly and Michael Wendler; Wendler was excluded after the first audition because of his statements about the COVID-19 outbreak in Germany. Before the live shows began, Dieter Bohlen was excluded from the jury, his place took Thomas Gottschalk. Oliver Geissen returned as the host. For the first time all top 4 consists of male competitors. Jan Marten-Block was announced as the winner of the season.

The German television mystery music game show I Can See Your Voice premiered the third season premiered on RTL in the primetime period on 24 July 2022, prematurely ended on 7 August 2022, and then returned to late night period on 20 August 2022.
