Oliver Stamm (born on 25 October 1966), is an Austrian former professional beach volleyballer.
Oliver Stamm was born in Vienna on 25 October 1966. He is the son of the former professional footballer Walter Stamm. He went to the Bundesrealgymnasium in Mödling, where he finally swapped volleyball for football in 1981.
Until 1993, he played indoor volleyball. During this time he was Austrian champion and cup winner and had 75 appearances in the Austrian national team. He was also the first Austrian to become a professional international volleyball player in the Spanish honor division near Almería.
From 1993 to 2002, he switched to beach volleyball, where he did pioneering work in Austria. He built up the sport in Austria that did not exist before. With his help, the beach volleyball tournament was set up in Carinthia on Lake Wörthersee in 1996.
During this time he became Austrian champion, had several top placements in World Trophy tournaments and on the FIVB World Tour. He also reached ninth place with Nikolas Berger at the 2000 Summer Olympics Olympic Games in Sydney. [3] He was also ninth at the 2001 World Cup and eighth at the 2001 Goodwill Games in Brisbane. He was also "Players Representative" for several years.
After the end of his beach volleyball career, he hosted the TV quiz program "The Chair - take a seat in Hell" in Cologne for the Austrian private broadcaster ATV. Then he founded a sports management agency (Ecosports consulting) with the Austrian Olympic participant Michael Buchleitner. He returned to television in 2008, where he took part in the fourth season of Dancing Stars and made it through to the third round. He has supported Right To Play since his playing days and is Austria's ambassador.
Since December 2008, he has been working as a consultant for Austrian sports aid.
Oliver Stamm has two children, Constantin (born 2006) and Mia Joy (born 2007), and lives in Klosterneuburg near Vienna.
Charles Frederick "Karch" Kiraly is an American volleyball player, coach, and broadcast announcer. He was a central part of the U.S National Team that won gold medals at the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Games. He went on to win the gold medal again at the 1996 Olympic Games, the first Olympic competition to feature beach volleyball. He is the only player to have won Olympic medals of any color in both the indoor and beach volleyball categories. He played college volleyball for the UCLA Bruins, where his teams won three national championships under head coach Al Scates.
Suzie Ngaire Muirhead is a field hockey defender who was a member of the New Zealand team which finished sixth at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. She also competed with The Black Sticks at the 1998 and the 2002 Commonwealth Games, and at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where the team also finished sixth.
Gilberto Amauri de Godoy Filho, known as Giba, is a Brazilian former professional volleyball player who played as an outside hitter. For much of the 2000s, he was widely regarded as one of the best volleyball players in the world. During his professional career he played in Brazil, Italy, Russia, Argentina and briefly in the United Arab Emirates. He is mostly remembered for his successes with the national team.
Douglas Scott "Dusty" Dvorak is a former volleyball player from the United States. Dvorak was a member of the United States national volleyball team that won the gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. He is regarded as one of the greatest setters of all time.
Steve Dennis Timmons is an American former volleyball player who represented the United States at three consecutive Summer Olympics, winning a gold medal in 1984 and 1988, and a bronze medal in 1992. He was named the MVP of the 1984 Olympics by the International Volleyball Federation. He was a pioneer of back row hitting.
William Reid Priddy, known as Reid Priddy, is an American volleyball player on the United States men's national volleyball team and Italian club Cucine Lube Civitanova. He has also played on the AVP tour from 2000 to 2006.
Lloy James Ball is an American former volleyball player, a member of American national team in 1993–2008, a participant of the Olympic Games and gold medalist of Olympics Beijing 2008, gold medalist of the NORCECA Championship 2007 and World League 2008, silver medalist of the Pan American 1995, bronze medalist of the World Championship 1994, and 2015 inductee to the International Volleyball Hall of Fame. When not on the court actively playing the game, Ball operates Team Pineapple, a volleyball clinic that also features his father, Arnie Ball.
Bryan Eric Ivie is an American former volleyball player and two-time Olympian. Ivie was a member of the United States national volleyball team that won the bronze medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. He also competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. He was a middle blocker.
Caren Marie Alexius Kemner is an American former volleyball player and three-time Olympian.
Liz Masakayan is a former indoor and beach volleyball player, and is currently a coach. She participated in the 1988 Summer Olympics with the United States women's national volleyball team, and as a beach volleyball player won a total of 47 tournaments in her career.
Alison Conte Cerutti is a Brazilian beach volleyball player. He plays as a blocker. In 2011, along with Emanuel Rego he won the Swatch FIVB World Tour in Prague, Czech Republic. and the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He won the gold medal at the 2015 World Championships in Netherlands. and the gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio alongside teammate Bruno Schmidt. In 2019, Alison partnered with Álvaro Morais Filho. The team won their first gold medal at the FIVB Kuala Lumpur event. The duo also competed in the Tokyo 2020 journey. Since 2021 Alison has been playing with Guto Carvalhaes.
Louise Bawden is an Australian volleyball and beach volleyball player. She represented Australia at the 2000 Summer Olympics in indoor volleyball, finishing in 9th. She was selected to represent Australia at the 2012 Summer Olympics in beach volleyball, but she and team-mate Becchara Palmer did not qualify from the pool stage.
David McKienzie is a Filipino American volleyball player. He was a 3 time All-American while playing for California State University, Long Beach. He played for the United States national team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. David's father, William Mckienzie, was a member of the USA national team in the late 60's and an alternate for the 1968 Olympics. David's mother, Elvira Mckienzie, was a national team player for the Philippines in both volleyball and Basketball. David's sister, Joy Mckienzie, was an NCAA Division 1 champion in 1993 at Long Beach State and an All-American.

Petia Yanchulova is a Bulgarian beach volleyball player. She represented her nation Bulgaria in two editions of the Olympic Games, along with her partner and elder sister Tzvetelina. Despite being born in Bulgaria, Yanchulova trained most of her sporting career in San Diego, California, United States, playing for the University of San Diego's volleyball team.
Tzvetelina "Lina" Yanchulova, also known as Lina Taylor, is a Bulgarian beach volleyball player. She represented her nation Bulgaria in two editions of the Olympic Games, along with her partner and younger sister Petia. As a junior player in her native Bulgaria, Yanchulova became a four-time National Champion with her club Levski. She trained for most of her beach volleyball sporting career in San Diego, California, United States, while directing and coaching at Coast Volleyball Club.
Bruno Oscar Schmidt is a Brazilian beach volleyball player. He plays as a right-side defender. Bruno is the nephew of the former Brazilian basketball player Oscar Schmidt and of the TV news announcer Tadeu Schmidt. In 2010, he was named the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Most Improved Player. He was also named the Best Defensive Player in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. Schmidt won the gold medal at the 2015 World Championships with his teammate Alison Cerutti in the Netherlands. He won the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics with Alison Cerutti.
Melissa Humana-Paredes is a Canadian beach volleyball player, who is partnered with Brandie Wilkerson. Humana-Paredes won the women's gold medal with Sarah Pavan at the 2019 Beach Volleyball World Championships.
