Biography

Born in Guardiagrele, Dinelli grew up in Rome, where he attended the Silvio d'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts [1] and worked as a stage, radio, and television actor. [2] In 1975 he portrayed Fosco, a grave robber, in the TV series Ritratto di donna velata . [3]

In the mid-1980s, Dinelli also performed in a number of shakespearian plays directed by British personalities such as Desmond Davis, Jane Howell and Jack Gold, and one by Canadian director Alvin Rakoff; all these were then broadcast on Italy's National Channel Rai 3. [4]

Later, Dinelli's career transitioned into voice acting and dubbing. [2]

Dinelli is the voice over artist who provides the Italian-dubbed voice of Rowan Atkinson and has voiced many animated characters in both Italian animation and Italian-dubbed localizations; [1] as a voice dubber, Dinelli is known as Mr. Bean's Italian voice and has expressed particular satisfaction with working to the Italian dub of Disney's animated series Darkwing Duck , where he voiced the title character. [2]

Dinelli has also dubbed the character Remigio, portrayed by Mauro Bucci, in the English-dubbed version of Matteo Garrone's 2019 film Pinocchio . [5]
