Olumu was the founder of Iwoye at the historical site of Ahoro-ile, a rocky terrain and valley south of the present-day Iwoye. The effects of war, as well as the desire to engage in productive agriculture and concentrate administration, led to the movement from Ahoro-ile to the location where Iwoye is situated today. Although the community has expanded rapidly since the border demarcation in 1895, straddling the border between Nigeria and the Republic of Benin and now extending to the old site at Ahoro-ile. However, the famous Ogun Agbade shrine remains the major symbolic boundary between the old site and the present Iwoye-Ketu. The title of Olumu is preserved as the Head of the Kingmakers in Iwoye to this day. [1] He was the founder of "Iwoye Ketu".
