Omar LinX is a Mexican Canadian rapper, songwriter, musician and singer. He is known for writing and performing in a variety of genres, often through collaborations with electronic dance music (EDM) and hip-hop producers.

History

LinX co-wrote songs for Wake Up, which was released by Zeds Dead in February 2010. LinX has since collaborated on a number of songs with the group, [1] including their first official single re-release, "Rudeboy", [2] and "Out for Blood", [3] which has been viewed more than five million times on YouTube.[ when? ] The group has released several other projects which include his contributions, including the Living Dead EP on Ultra Records [4] and music video [5] [6] and the Victor EP on electronic music label Mad Decent. [7]

In July 2011, LinX released his debut album City of Ommz. [8] [9]

In February 2012 Zeds Dead and Omar LinX launched the Living Dead Tour, with opening acts AraabMUZIK, XI, Memorecks, Mat the Alein, and Knight Riderz. [10]

In December 2014 LinX released his highly anticipated sophomore album M.O.R. [11]

In November 2015 he released Back To You [12] with Hunter Siegel and Pro Logic on Buygore Records, [13] with a remix pack [14] with Kname, Axel Boy, Da bow, Lumberjvck, and Algo.

In 2015 LinX continued to tour and perform his own songs. [3]

In 2016, LinX featured in "Keep It Mello" by future bass DJ and producer, Marshmello, [15] and released the music video for the single "Black Rose" from his M.O.R album. [16]

In 2017, LinX released "621" on his SoundCloud account. The song featured Hunter Siegel, a fellow Canadian and DJ. [17]

Met with critical and commercial success, the album peaked within the top ten of the Billboard 200, although it served as his only major label release for Def Jam Recordings; he thereafter released seven albums independently to continued critical praise. While doing so, he performed as a member of the hip hop supergroup Slaughterhouse, which were signed to Eminem's Shady Records in 2012; the group released two studio albums.

Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt. II is the fourth studio album by American rapper and Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon, released September 8, 2009, on Ice H2O/EMI Records in the United States. The album experienced numerous delays to its release due to Raekwon's approach of continual re-writing, as well as distribution issues with his record labels. Serving as the sequel to his critically acclaimed debut album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... (1995), Pt. II maintains many of the themes covered on its predecessor, and features guest appearances from several Wu-Tang Clan members, as well as Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss and Beanie Sigel.

Slaughterhouse was an American hip hop supergroup consisting of rappers Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and Royce da 5'9". They released their eponymous debut studio album independently in 2009, and signed to Shady Records, an imprint of Interscope Records to release it's follow up, Welcome to: Our House in 2012. The group disbanded in 2018.

Hunter Siegel is a Canadian DJ and music producer. Hunter made his first appearance with his debut single, released independently, Waiting Up, which was released in white label format in June 2013. Hunter received international support with Waiting Up and quickly caught the ear of a number of tastemaker labels, like Steve Angello's Size Records where he did a release with house music legend Todd Terry. In 2015, Hunter released his first record with Atlantic's dance label Big Beat Records, titled Let Me Love You Right, which featured Canadian vocalist Kai. The record received immediate support on radio throughout North America. Hunter and BigBeat then followed up with the music video which was an ode to the wildly popular movie "Fight Club" as noted in the Billboard Magazine world premiere. Since 2015, Hunter has appeared in numerous international music festivals like HARD SUMMER MUSIC FEST Electric Zoo Music Festival in New York City, Splash House in Palm Springs, California, Holy Ship and many more. In 2016, Hunter and collaborator Autoerotique release their hit single "On the Floor" which took the dance scene by storm garnering support from every DJ imaginable from Skrillex to Hardwell and leading the year as one of the most played songs in Festival DJ sets. In addition, over the course of his career, Hunter has collaborated with artists like Zeds Dead, Shaun Frank, Omar Linx, Adventure Club, Matroda and Wax Motif, continuing to be at the forefront of underground dance music. Hunter Siegel is also the creator of the international brand #NoNeon which launched in January 2015 out of Toronto and has since spread south to Florida for multiple Miami Music Week showcases.
