Omnionn is a music producer of Salvadoran music. He is particularly active in the Salvadoran hip hop scene, where he is the official producer of Pescozada. He is also widely known as an artist of Electronic music. Ominonn resided in San Francisco, California for most of his life, but has dedicated himself to help establish an urban music scene in El Salvador, and in 2006 moved back to his home country.
Originally from the department or province of Ahuachapán, in the west side of El Salvador, Omnionn (Agustin Anaya) has and continues to be one of the most progressive and innovative producers of hip hop and electronica in Latin America.[citation needed] He has credits in both genres on both sides of the atlantic and has worked with groups/artists like Dos Hermanos, Zion I, Sindicato del Hip Hop Argentino, Apollo 11, Planet Asia, Sean T, and is very active in the remixing world of electronic music.
In 2003, Omnionn co-founded the music marketing firm and record label The Assembly Line/Glifico in partnership with San Francisco Bay Area hip hop producer Ghazi Shami and Nora Anaya. The firm has become the most active label outside of El Salvador to promote and market Salvadoran urban music.[citation needed]
In 2004, Omnionn made contact with an independent and obscure hip hop group in the department of Chalatenango, El Salvador called "Pescozada", formed at the time by three young men with a passion to make hip hop music in one of the most rural and politically isolated areas of the country. The project intrigued the producer and he began taking the group under his wing, releasing a crunk remix of Pescozada's "Quieres Mierda?" previously released in the album "Diaz Ozkuros en el Barrio" (2002). After several remixes, assessment and market analysis, Omnionn was able to propose focusing more label resources to build what has become the most successful and known hip hop project in Central America.
In 2006 he left the United States to personally supervise Pescozada's international marketing and music production from El Salvador and produce other upcoming hip hop projects, amongst them 4 Manifestantes, Real Akademia and Palomacho, and produce several compilations of "Salvadorian Hip Hop".
In 2007 Omnionn officially joined Pescozada as producer, DJ and third member of the group.
International press
Omnionn has been successful at putting Salvadoran urban music in the forefront of the international press. An article from Spain's Hip Hop Nation magazine wrote "The element that grabs the most attention in Pescozada is not the vocal parts, rather the music production." The article continues, "The result of [Omnionn's] involvement as far as the quality of mixes, and the level of detail in his beats put Pescozada in a clear advantage compared to the vast majority of the groups in Latin America, which for the most part, do not count with the tools to reach that level of sound."[1]

Tegui Calderón Rosario is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer and actor. He began his musical career in 1996 and was supported by the famous Puerto Rican rapper Eddie Dee, who invited him on his second studio album, El Terrorista de la Lírica, released in 2000. Calderón reached international success in 2003 with his first album, El Abayarde, which sold 300,000 copies worldwide and was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award. His importance in reggaeton music led him to participate in Eddie Dee's 12 Discípulos album in 2004. He released three more studio albums between 2006 and 2015, varying in styles, focusing more in hip hop and African music rather than reggaeton in The Underdog/El Subestimado (2006) and El Abayarde Contraataca (2007). His fourth studio album, El Que Sabe, Sabe, released in 2015, won a Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Music Album.
Kurtis el Khaleel, known by the stage name Kurtis Mantronik, is a Jamaican-born hip hop and electronic-music artist, DJ, remixer, and producer. He was the leader, DJ, and keyboardist of the influential 1980s hip hop and electro-funk group Mantronix. He currently lives in South Africa where he has produced and remixed house and techno music tracks by artists such as India, Junior Senior, Kylie Minogue, Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers, Michael Gray, Victoria Beckham, Liberty X, S Club, and Mim. Mantronik was influential in the development of hip hop music: notably, he laid the foundations for Southern hip hop genres such as Miami bass and trap music, and helped popularize the Amen break.

Pescozada is a hip hop group formed in Chalatenango, El Salvador. Their name means "slap" or "punch" in modern Spanish. They are also well known throughout El Salvador for addressing political situation, its problems, and its civil war.

Salvadoran hip hop arose about 30 years ago following a large migration of Salvadorans to LA. Their arrival occurred during a surge in popularity of hip hop in the United States, which allowed them to participate. Salvadoran hip hop is still a smaller kind of music but it is an important part to communities and the lives of many Salvadorans.
Sindicato Argentino del Hip Hop is a hip hop group formed in Argentina. It currently consists of three members: Smoler, DJ Fabry and Huexo, and two producers, but it has had different numbers of members over time. The group's style mainly consists of hip hop and funk. The group received a Latin Grammy award in 2001 for best hip hop/rap album.
Reyes del Bajo Mundo is a Salvadoran hip hop group. The group was formed in 1992 and is conformed by Cruz Control and Douglas Dinamico. A third member named Rey de Reyes left the group due to immigration problems. They are considered to be the original hip hop pioneers of El Salvador and the first group to bring Salvadoran hip hop to mainstream radio, television, and newspapers, with their release of Estilo Impereal in 1997 under their own independent label. They were followed by PESCOZADA and later by Crooked Stilo.

Bajofondo is a Río de la Plata-based music band consisting of eight musicians from Argentina and Uruguay, which aims to create a more contemporary version of tango and other musical styles of the Río de la Plata region. It was founded in the early 2000s as a studio experiment, which culminated into the successful album Bajofondo Tango Club. This led to touring and eventually to the current lineup. Bajofondo calls itself a collaborative as all members have solo careers as well. The group has toured around the world, particularly in Latin America, the United States, Europe and parts of Asia. Their music is known to a wider audience than those who know their name as their music has been used in film and television.
Los Rakas are a Grammy Award–nominated bilingual hip hop group based in Oakland, California, consisting of Panamanian cousins Raka Rich and Raka Dun. Their style consists of a mixture of hip hop influences with reggaeton, reggae, and dancehall. One of their notable collaborations includes the American new Wave band Blondie on their 2014 studio album Ghosts of Download, where they appeared as a featured artist on the track "I Screwed Up". Other collaborations include music with: E-40, Nina Sky, Baby Bash, Berner, Keak Da Sneak, Kool John, San Quinn, Show Banga, X-raided, Goapale, IAMSU!, Baby Gas, & Atropolis. As of 04/20/22 Los Rakas have partnered with Camabis to release their own cannabis strain "Raka Exotic". They are currently working on a new studio album expected to drop between late 2022 and early 2023.
Antonio Hernández, better known as Toy Selectah, is a DJ, producer and Mexican musician. He began his career as a member of the group Control Machete and has collaborated with artists such as MIA, Cypress Hill, Thievery Corporation, Café Tacuba, Manu Chao and Celso Piña, among many others.
Urbano music or Latin urban is a transnational umbrella category including many different genres and styles. As an umbrella term it includes a wide and diverse set of genres and styles such as dancehall, dembow, urban champeta, funk carioca, Latin hip hop and reggaeton. The commercial breakthrough of this music took place in 2017 with artists from Colombia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Puerto Rico, the United States, Venezuela and even non-Spanish-speaking nations, such as Brazil, where Portuguese is spoken.
