One Night Stand is a Dutch anthology series that ran from 2004 till 2019 and was broadcast by the VPRO. Every episode was produced by a different production company and directed by a different director. Some of the directors made their film debut in this series, like Urszula Antoniak, Boudewijn Koole and Jaap van Heusden. [1]

Prizes

The series managed to win a lot of Golden Calves through the years. Six times they won the Golden Calf for Best Television Drama for the episodes: Den Helder in 2008, [2] Anvers in 2009, [3] Finnemans in 2010, [4] Vast in 2011, [5] Geen koningen in ons bloed in 2015 [6] and Horizon in 2016. [7]

The series also managed to win five Golden Calves in the Television Drama acting-categories for Loes Schnepper, Ariane Schluter, Jonas Smulders, Nazmiye Oral and a combined award for George Tobal and Majd Mardo. [8] [9]

In addition, he voiced the characters of Ernie and Kermit the Frog on Sesamstraat, the Dutch version of Sesame Street. For his shows, he has written over three hundred songs, and his reputation has changed from being Dutch television's "enfant terrible" to an acknowledged master in a variety of genres.

The Cinekid Festival is the largest international film, television and new media festival for children aged 4 to 14 held at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It started as a small children's film festival and has now grown into a large organisation that develops activities for children in the areas of film, television and new media throughout the year. <i>Kinderen geen bezwaar</i> Dutch sitcom

Kinderen geen bezwaar is a Dutch sitcom, developed by the VARA and written by Haye van der Heyden. The first episode aired on Nederland 1 on 25 September 2004, replacing the popular series Oppassen!!!. After the ninth season, which was scheduled to air in January 2013, the series was not renewed. This is the result of a recurring discussion whether Dutch public television should provide comedy or not. The last six episodes were filmed from 29 May till 7 July 2012. Repeats of Kinderen geen bezwaar attracted audiences of more than one million people.

Ronflonflon, or Ronflonflon avec Jacques Plafond, was a radio show on the Dutch broadcaster VPRO. It was produced and directed by Wim T. Schippers who also played the principal character and radio host, Jacques Plafond. Between 10 October 1984 and 30 January 1991, 328 episodes were produced, and it became the VPRO's best-listened radio program.

30 minuten was a 1995 Dutch satirical mockumentary TV series, written by Arjan Ederveen and directed by Pieter Kramer. Ederveen also starred in every episode. Two series of seven episodes were produced and broadcast by the Dutch TV station VPRO between 1995 and 1997.

Oink is a 2022 Dutch stop motion animationfilm based on the book The Revenge of Oink by Tosca Menten. It was the first stop motion feature film ever made in the Netherlands. The film premiered on the 72nd edition of the Berlin Film Festival. The film won three Golden Calves for Best Feature Film, Best Director and Best production Design. Making it the first animated film to ever win these awards. it also received the Golden Film, a distinction for Dutch films with more than 100.000 tickets sold during its release. The film also made it on the shortlist for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature but wasn't nominated.
